Ford Bronco Release date set

Man, so many scaredy cats; you guys must really enjoy struggling to climb shit :flipoff2:

I am very aware that the pressure you run depends on a variety of factors, and I was semi-trolling with my original comment. The rig I run 8-9 PSI in has 37/12.50R15 Pitbull Rocker radials mounted on 8" wheels and weighs 3,900Lbs (weighed with a 4-corner scale), and the other rig that I run 4 PSI weighs ~4,500Lbs (guesstimate) on 325/85R16 Michelin XMLs (38" tall 13" wide and load range G) mounted on 7" wheels. I guess I don't actually wheel though because I am not doing donuts on pavement while aired-down

youre a dipshit that has no clue wtf hes talking about, stick to your fire roads

Music In the videos is annoying.
Question. When do you use spotters? Seems like they have a spotter over every bump. Do the guides and spotters just walk the entire trail? Get annoying fast.

These videos are a pretty blatant jeep vs bronco internet pot stirrer, I'll say this. A good old jeep Cherokee would kick both the asses.

No music in the one I posted.

Nice demonstration of tire pressure choices vs. climbing ability.

Too bad they didn't report that parameter - it was the difference.

Plus there was a headwind and gravity was temporarily heavier when the Jeep tried. Fookin' cheaters :shaking:

No, dipshit, tire pressure made all the difference there.

Sorry if you're looking to troll, but I'm in a no-bullshit mood.

You didn't notice the jeep bellied out? Seemed like the bronco had just another inch of belly clearance, while it hit, it didn't stop it.

Any of the 4 door rigs don't wheel that great stock. Especially the gladiator, 115"+ isn't great on 33s

Yeah, it scraped, but I think with flatter tires it would've pulled itself over (making annoying metal-scraping shrieks).

I was seriously considering a Gladiator awhile back, and it would need a 4"F/3"R lift + 37s to not be a complete turd.

That JL short bus would've walked that effortlessly with a 3"/2" lift + 35s (but 37s couldn't hurt).

Meh, I still think it could've done the scrapey-shriekey drag up that with 12-15 psi in the tires.

I watched it again and I still disagree. The jeep guy had a nice amount of momentum and was stopped when the belly hit. The broncos were not.

I'm not saying that a bronco will out wheel a jeep, I don't really care honestly. I just don't think tire pressure was the culprit, I think the slightly shorter wb and I'm guessing about 1" more ground clearance was the difference. I'm pretty sure a little more momentum and the JL would go up it.

Well no shit, are you says more clearance and larger tires enhance offroad performance?:flipoff2:

What if you put the same lift and larger tires on the bronco? (which is a factory option) Then you're back to square one, just they're both more capable.

Anyone curious what packages jeep is going to come out with to compete? V8? Larger tire packages?

Jeep doesnt have to come out with anything to compete. Ford is the one trying to steal the koolaid.

Interesting seeing the front end starting to unload on the climb at about the 720 mark. It makes sence that this would happen but you can really see how much worse it made the tire contact patch inside the notch.

Just red that you can't get the Sasquatch package with a manual (the one you'd want - 35s, dual lockers, bigger front axle, etc). That there is a deal breaker for me. I was getting myself worked up too, but I hate fucking slushboxes.

I thought the jeep driver didn't have enough momentum, looked like he waited to late to roll into the climb. But anyways they are both stock and therefore both suck in stock form.

Went over that already :flipoff2:there are other ways to get the lockers and manual together, not sure about the 35s.

Jeep has been teasing a 392 V8 in the JL, they posted this on july 11th

Well obviously he didn't have enough momentum since he didn't make it :flipoff2:

My point was that he didn't just roll up to and hit the gas after he was stuck like 90% of the people I see wheel these days.

But then it won't be lumped into one easy payment for just 96 months :flipoff2:

If I got one I'd be paying mostly cash. Just need to sell off part of my fleet. screw payments. But if I'm dropping that kind of coin on a new rig, I want it to have what I want it to have and not have to go spend a shitload more to get it there. There's enough other shit to spend money on. I've been building rigs for a long time...I think I'm ready for something turnkey with a warranty.

ah the stuck then floor it method, yes I know what you mean.

well I haven't read all 38 pages.. still searching for a good breakdown of available packages

I am disappointed with the videos I have seen..

I always liked my broncos big and nasty for muddin

Put a set of thornbirds on it and you will be gtg.

They never came big and nasty from the factory. Hey let's step back into 1984 with open twin tractor beam, 3:50's, 2:1 first gear and 235/75 popped collar rain tolerant 1 ply radials. :flipoff2:

If the mother fucker is doing decent in bone stock form, it will kick ass when one of us gets ahold of it.

So what stock vehicle do you think is better? Hell even the 4cyl has near twice the hp of any previous stock bronco.
