39/64 or .609thank you! what size did you drill the new stud holes to?
I saw the RCV setup. they have a nice product.
New axle will have non standard inner shafts. quick lead times on custom shafts and outstanding customer service are what's leading me to Branik.
What's the max steering angle if the big bells?
Understandable.
43° with 40sp shafts
I drilled mine with 15mm annular bit.gathering more basic info...
what 9/16" wheel studs is everyone using when they redrill the units to 8x6.5? and what size do the new holes get drilled to?![]()
Will I have to run a spacer or will most 8x6.5” wheels fit over this?
50 degree+ with the 1550 shafts.What's stock/factory steering angle?🤔
I’ll have to double check after work. I think the outer step is 4-7/8”.first step looks like it's for the rotor. second step looks like it's for wheel. what did they mic out to?
Didn't we determine earlier in this thread or maybe another that the stock knuckle will lock you in at 38°?50 degree+ with the 1550 shafts.
The actual turning angle of the axle in the truck is a lot less than that obv.

I don't think soDidn't we determine earlier in this thread or maybe another that the stock knuckle will lock you in at 38°?
Well it was a guess at 36°, so i was wrong, but have a confirmation of 42° when grinding the stops.I don't think so
what can be done to gain more steering angle out of the 05+?
Grinding.what can be done to gain more steering angle out of the 05+?
See what hits and take your grinder to it. 1550 joints will support more steering angle than most people can realistically package.
Have you ever tried to package 50deg of steering ? It's really hard.Interesting🤔
This is literally my life right now.Interesting🤔
My future SAS:This is literally my life right now.
33" wide front frame
70" wms
40" on 4.5" bs wheel
Even with straight front links I can only get about 38* when the tire contacts the frame.
Adding to the wms or wheel changes are the only things I could change to achieve more.

I'm using an 8" stroke on mine with weaver arms. Mine goes a little past lock to lock so I'm going to have do a little grinding...i haven't fired it up yet, still in construction phaseI used a 2.5 x 10. I need to make stops around 1" thick, so realistically you could probably get by with an 8" stroke
