United States Death statistics 2020 vs. 2018

Um, post up where I said I know many were fraud? I said I believe many are coded fraudulently.

I'm not sure how this is funny an how it is some sort of "inside joke" for you.

I do believe that some were coded fraudulently. That doesn't mean that it some how makes everything irrelevant. I can understand how some Dr's may want to code a few deaths here or there as Covid for any number of reasons. Do I think it's a large % of the deaths being reported...no. I simply acknowledge that some people are lazy, scammers, idiots, etc. Do I have general faith in most Dr's to accurately report that Covid 19 had a large role in the deaths they are claiming...yes....but do I give a little understanding that not all are going to be accurate...sure.

You can keep ignoring the numbers, trying to spin them how you wish...but at the end of the day, you appear to be wrong in your assertion that the deaths are over reported in 2020 and that this year will be inline with 2018, 2019, or any of the last 5 years. I've posted how the numbers line up, show the sites I get them from, I've even gone to those sites people are trying to use to defend their position and have shown how/why there is a misunderstanding with what you (proverbial you meaning whomever is claiming the site proves their argument) are reading on the site....but alas, it's not sinking in with most of you. It's a lost fight. You are blinded by your "religion" as you claim I am blinded by one. Even though I've made the claim only that the deaths are about 300k higher this year then in the past 5....so I'm not sure what religion I'm buying into....but again, it's a lost fight.

Until you can post up any figures to dispute the ones I've posted (even using a site posted by Flecker)...and not just some news article from some right wing site that doesn't even really dispute the numbers, I will just have to believe you have your wool pulled over your eyes and are sheepisly following your orange master and his claims that there is "nothing to see here"

You bring a different level of stupid.

If a death is coded as covid, that death is then counted:lmao::lmao::lmao:

And your whole 300k extra number lost all validity when studies showed there was not an increase and were instantly shouted down because it when against the narrative of your religion.

You bring a different level of stupid.

If a death is coded as covid, that death is then counted:lmao::lmao::lmao: Is it not counted as a death at all if it isn't Covid? damn, you're stupid.

And your whole 300k extra number lost all validity when studies showed there was not an increase and were instantly shouted down because it when against the narrative of your religion. Show me where studies have shown "not an increase" because I have shown you quite the opposite.

You are moron.

I keep talking about total # of deaths in the US being 300k+ higher this year then past. How it's coded can be suspect sure...but that doesn't mean they didn't die.

I'M NOT STATING THIS AS FACT, just so you don't claim this is what I'm claiming because you a fucking moron. I could see Dr's coding deaths that are from Covid not as Covid just as easily as coding non Covid deaths as Covid deaths. It can go both ways. In the end, what matters is the total deaths in the country. Will it be higher by 10% or more in 2020 vs the past 5 years? YES.

I don't know how you can keep ignoring that and focusing on the Covid deaths only. You are arguing how something is coded and how because it may not be coded to your satisfaction it somehow didn't happen in the first place. I believe we will see death total in the US of over 3.1m. Which is higher then 2018, 2019 and the past 5 years by over 300k. How is it that all of a sudden we have increase in deaths this year? Is it all covid? no, there will be some from suicide, bad health care due to Covid, etc. However, that does not change the fact that Covid is the big contributor to the increase in death this year.

so the level of stupid is much greater with you. You can't comprehend ANYTHING outside of your narrative...nor can you post any useful information to this thread. Just merely pop in and say your quip and leave.

Funny, how the other forum I had this discussion on, after multiple back and forth posts, the other side acknowledge he was reading the information wrong and said we won't truly know until the final figures come out....which I completely agree with. On here, getting someone to acknowledge they are reading or misinterpreting the information is impossible. I will acknowledge I don't know if all the figures are accurate...but given everything I've seen, I do believe they are a fair representation of what is going on in the US regarding the number of deaths in 2020.

Every point you’re trying to make is based on made up bullshit.

Why was the John Hopkins study shouted down that showed no increase in the overall death rate?

This is your religion, I’m sure you’ve got a great excuse.

Holy shit you are a dense, stupid, tunnel visioned idiot.

what is made up with what I am making my points with? Please, enlighten me. Are the people being reported as dead not really dead? Are they somehow alive and having a happy life? My points are pretty basic. That the number of deaths in the US will be higher in 2020 then the previous years by amounts that are generally inline with those being reported as Covid deaths. I'm not sure what made up bullshit you are finding...but you are free to point it out to me.

show me this study you are talking about.

Are you talking about the article that talked about how the death rate (% of deaths vs the number of infected)? I didn't shout it down. I pointed out that it is talking about the morality as a %. It NEVER claimed the deaths were lower then they are...only that the disease is less fatal then they thought. I also point out how they are using confirmed cases and UNCONFIRMED cases. This # is purely a guess but it is in line with what many other people/studies have guesstimated the unconfirmed cases could be. I point out that they say the mortality rate is .5% because they are basically estimating that there are 60 million cases that have been or are currently active in the US.

Again, I'm not "shouting it down" i'm pointing out that they are talking about something VERY DIFFERENT then what this thread is talking about.

If you want to go and find data to dispute me, I will happily look it over. I've looked over some of what "goes against my religion"

See, that’s the problem. You’ve sat here and screamed to the mountain tops about your religion and how we’re idiots. When in reality, you’re only parroting what you’re hearing on msm.

Go do some research of your own like a big boy and see what you find about highly regarded doctors and universities calling bullshit. They’re all shouted down and scrubbed for a reason.

If you were capable of removing fear and emotion from this topic, you would see how big of a scam it is. But like most super religious freaks, you’re too committed to admit being wrong.

and there it is.

"GO DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH" um, I think i've researched it a fair amount...even reading/listening to some of the posts that "counteract my religion"

I guess the figures direct from the CDC is me parroting the MSM.

You can ignore it all you want and stick to your religion that everything is somehow a scam or against Trump, or some other conspiracy....but you have not posted anything even close to research...so I guess I'm the fool for thinking you have something valid to add to the discussion.

I'm not even that much into believing in the lock downs and such. I think many people should be able to make their own choices on the matter, however, I have no problems with current mask mandates and such. If mask mandates are in place and businesses followed them, then they should not be shut down. If businesses are following safety guidelines, they should be able to be open and allow consumers to make the choice to go out. I believe that the .gov can really only do so much and that beyond that it is personal responsibility....but ignoring and disregarding public health official guidelines just because you somehow believe this is all BS is, in itself is BS. You don't have to follow them by staying at home....with as many people that want to be with you at your house. In public, I'm fine with some mandates for the time being.

So I guess being respectful of my fellow man, and willing to help in something I don't think is a scam/farce/control grab, etc. then I guess that's my religion....but at least I research my stuff.

You’ve done zero research, you’re a parrot. That’s why you have no clue what studies I’m referring to.

How many times have your sources completely contradicted themselves? Go ahead and give a rough number.

I do think it’s funny that like clockwork, you used the “being respectful to my fellow man” line.:lmao:

Yeah, suicides, overdoses, divorce, child abuse are all skyrocketing at an alarming pace because of this lockdown scam. That’s real fuckin respectful.

But let’s not talk about those things because that also will go against the narrative of your religion.

"you'd know my sources if you did research"

Fucking post up or shut up. I'm in the process of researching the John Hopkins article posted earlier.

my "sources" come up with different figures almost every time. The point is they post up figures based on certain reports. You have no sources, you have no research, you have nothing to post other then "do your own research" or "If you did research you'd know what my stuff says"

You are a fucking moron. You must ignore where I don't agree with lockdowns....oh but wait, that doesn't fit your debate. You just want to act like you've done research and are bigger thinker then others.

Like I said, post up some research you have. Some ACTUAL data and not an opinion piece or "a Dr. says...." Without figures it is nothing but right wing bullshit.

I will look over the John Hopkins pulling the article...but I'm struggling to find where the author (which I find interesting is an economist and not in the medical profession...not that it debunks anything, just interesting) I am finding some of the figures she mentions, but not others....so I don't know what to think of it...other then the fact that she is simply comparing the way the deaths were coded....not that it didn't increase the deaths. The web archive article mentions that week over week, the causes of other variables dropped by almost the same amount as Covid went up. The weird thing is, if you look at the weekly death totals, they are pretty high compared to years past...at least where I am seeing weekly totals. The article mentions the weeks ending 4/11, 4/8 and 4/25. Those weeks saw death over 70k, and almost 80k in one. The month of April saw total deaths of 321k in 2020. In 2019, no month was over 258k....so it's weird to say Covid is having not affect on the death rate given that April is over 60k higher then ANY month in 2019.

I'm in the process of researching the John Hopkins article posted earlier.

Dig that shit up and re-post it here. It went up days ago, buried now somewhere.

I recall reading the JH explanation of why their own staff paper or study was "misleading" and pulled. JH said It had something to do with the fact that the author used % instead of numbers. That didn't pass the smell test to me.

Since 2014, the us has had a significant, steady increase in overall death rate. This rate is in the 1.1 to nearly 1.3% range.

For the past 5 years, this has been the norm and explained by YOUR sources as the side effects of unhealthy living and a lack of healthcare.

They explained that this trend will continue until Americans change their lifestyle habits. This year is actually in the lower range, but now all of a sudden, any growth is from covid.

This has been explained over and over and shouted down by emotional wrecks like yourself that fall hook line and sinker for the narrative.

There is no actual abnormal increase in deaths, this year is actually the lowest (next to 2019) since 2014, but don’t let facts get in the way of your religion.

Where are you getting the numbers to claim its the lowest since 2014? You claim it but have no facts, no links, nothing. You say my source claims the 1.1-1.3% increase in deaths. While I haven't seen that, I don't doubt it.

I have showed where the CDC is showing 2020 is at around 2.8m deaths from 2/1- 12/12...this is not including January so 1 month missing.

2019 had 2.855M
2018 had 2.839M
2017 had 2.813M
2016 had 2.744M
2015 had 2.713M

So again it fits the narrative of slightly over 1% growth year over year....yet 2020 is at 2.8M with only 46 of 52 weeks reported. I don't know how this is hard to understand for you. These figures were posted on page 7 with the links to the CDC .pdf (or website on the case of 2019). At this rate and if we estimate for the "missing" 6 weeks...well I went over all of that on page 7. No need to regurgitate it here.

So again I am curious how 2020 is the lowest deaths next to 2019 since 2014 when 2019 was higher then 2016-2018.

There is not much I can find. The only thing I see is that she actually only counts the increase/decrease in deaths from 1 week to the next. It doesn't really say much. She shows that when there was in increase in deaths of Covid from 1 week to the next the deaths from other causes was lower by a very similar amount. So for the 3 weeks I saw it was an increase of 850 covid deaths during the week of 4/11 over the previous week of 4/4....there were 840 or whatever less deaths from other causes. The next week showed an increase of around 2500 in Covid deaths bit a decrease of around 2400 other causes..and so on the week of 4/25.

So while I was not able to find the numbers of each cause because I'm not going to spend much more time on it. I can see how a week over week during a certain time frame wouldn't paint a very accurate set of data to make such a bold claim as she did.....but again I dont know for sure.

What is your source?

Once again you have made claims with NOTHING to back it up.

I guess since you claimed that 2019 was the lowest deaths (since 2014) yet the CDC published the data contradicting that claim long before covid it is still BS?

yet again you are full of shit with nothing to back it up. I've pointed out you have not posted a single source

You remind me of this guy... Mostly wrong, yet right on a couple of issues... but mostly a dipshit.

Jeezuz you people are arguing with a brick wall about shit that matters none. Total death numbers mean fuck all especially when we aren't at the end of the year yet so basically you're arguing projected numbers. :homer:

im not arguing...just posting the bullshit being thrown out by MSM

Seems we are looking at almost 3.2 million deaths for 2020 based on a article on fox...how do we go from 2.8ish at the end of Nov, beginning of Dec, to 3.2 by the end of the year? Granted, it does take time to gather the numbers, but this seems a little fishy...

https://www.foxnews.com/health/us-deaths-in-2020-top-3-million-by-far-most-ever-counted

Complete garbage reporting. Anatomy of junk journalism.

Headline BOLD CAPS

US deaths in 2020 top 3 million, by far most ever counted

and -
NEW YORK – This is the deadliest year in U.S. history, with deaths expected to top 3 million for the first time – due mainly to the coronavirus pandemic.

Story - They confuse the basic grammar between present and future. The text of the pile of shit says will be and preliminary.

Hasn't happened yet.

Fuck Fuck Fuck

Wrong and stupid on every level.

Burn these bitches out and tar and feather them.

How about a little reality? I know it's not nearly as reliable as the CDC or MSM.

Contact your local waste management and ask them what days are the scheduled rona victim pick up days. Do the bodies need to be in a approved container or can I just set them next to the can? We're off the beaten path so I can't hear the trucks playing "bring out your dead" over the PA.

Look on CL, or FB, for burial plots. demand is so high here they are selling for 1/2 to 1/4 of original value! They are running out of room!

Call your local funeral home. It's so grim here that they are booked out 2-3 days in advance! I drove by a couple and things are so bad they were CLOSED! I'm assuming due to the overwhelming numbers of dead they are facing from the pandemic.

To remind myself to "flatten the curve" I just pop up our local obituaries. A chilling reminder that that those 10's of people were struck down in the prime of their lives! Some of them as young as 80! One they really got to me was a lady named Ethel who died days short of her 51st wedding anniversary. Gone too soon, damn you China Virus!

If that's not enough you can look at countries with no access to PPE or who ignorantly decided to ignore the deadly virus! Complete countries like Sweden and most of Africa GHOST TOWNS now!

I'm doing my part. I were full PPE while on the internet, just in case my anti-virus software isn't up to date. :flipoff2:

It is not correct.

It was a chart floating around back at the end of November trying to show that the deaths for 2020 would be in line with other years. I was pointing out that the data was coming from different area within the CDC's site and therefore suspect. I then went to the link for 2019 and used the data for 2020 on the same page and got my quoted figures.

Then you posted the site but ignored the footnotes that it was only 46 of the 52 weeks of the year...so you were wrong as well as the chart I posted. I then went on in both cases to use the data give. On the actual CDC page and using the law of averages show that 2020 will be higher then the 5 previous years by 300k deaths...much like is being reported.

I'm not sure what you are confused about ...but I am not surprised you are

So to expand on it. In 2019, if we only took 46 weeks of the average 54,904 deaths/ week. There would be approx. 2,525,580 deaths for the number of weeks. That means we have roughly 275,397 more deaths....which is pretty accurate to what they are reporting for covid deaths for the year.

I guess its all a conspirconspiracy though and the numbers are fake news.

Everything you are saying seems accurate

Provisional death #s for 2020 2/1/2020-12/19/2020 = 2,835,533 *same CDC chart linked earlier in the thread https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/COVID19/

So, that chart covers 46 weeks. If we use averages to fill in the 6 missing weeks of a full year...
2,835,533 / 46 weeks = 61,642 deaths per week.
61,642 x 6 weeks = 369,852 deaths in 6 weeks
2,835,533 + 369,852 = 3,205,385 total projected deaths for 2020.

As already pointed out, the death numbers in that chart are provisional, but if we accept them as reasonably accurate... We end up with over 300K deaths over 2018 or 2019.

For this discussion, we don't need to consider whether deaths have been coded accurately or not. We are only talking total number of deaths. Based on the info at hand, it would appear we will have an abnormally high death count this year.

I work with thousands of people every day 7 days a week. considered essential, never shut down. right in the middle of the metroplex. not one dead person from covid this year.
