Trump's position on how to deal with the Pandemic evolved over time. Fauci and the establishment were inherited legacy operations. Early Wuhan information was rudimentary, limited, panic and sensationalism driven. That devolved even worse after the Farma and the vaccine went big time.

that's when the clot shot rollout was
Feb 20, my bad. Later February was when fear porn came out on the news, where we watched the doomsday clock tick down as country by country cases were reported. Then state by state. It was a brilliant tool for installation of fear.

Then March of 2020 started the great toilet paper panic.

Man...4 years go by fast.

Trump retweets call to fire Fauci amid coronavirus criticism

:lmao:
Those were the first 3 results to the query;
What happened when Trump suggested Fauci was wrong?
Trump retweets call..... Meanwhile who has the authority to remove him? Ohh right... Trump:lmao: I think hes a million times better than the alternative but talk about copium and nut swinging.

As did every single persons and their reaction to all of it.

Well, not everyone. There's still a small handful of people who still buy into COVID terror and a small handful of people who still think COVID was completely fake. Most everyone else has eventually arrived at a somewhat sane conclusion of hey, there's a new respiratory virus that was slaying the elderly but has largely assimilated into the preexisting mix of cold and flu viruses. This process has likely played out hundreds of not thousands of times throughout human history. It's just the first major one since we've understood what viruses are and with global travel nowadays it happens over the course of weeks and months instead of over years and decades.

Well since sometimes fanbois are accused of nut swinging and other times haters are, who's what? And just to attempt to clear things up which I know is a doomed effort, I'd rather vote for DeSatan than Trump or Vivica swamirami anyway. That DeSantis isn't the clear choice just says to me that there's more bullshit going down and I once again don't get it.

You know there is more weird shit underway when we're being force-fed the choices that seem manifest. The fact that anything positive about Trump brings out latent hostility from self described reluctant Trump supporters is just more proof how jacked up it all is.

Someone else's confirmation bias is not one of my 99 problems.:flipoff2:

DeSantis isnt the clear choice because he all but destroyed any chance of ever winning he had by going full religous zealot in florida. I am christian but i am also smart enough to know alot of the swing issues dont align with hardcore christian values. Most people dont want your religion in their politics. Face it. Things like hardcore stances on abortion and gays are losing stances in todays world. I dont love that but it costs him a pretty decent number of demographics and the core who do care about that are not enough to get people elected and dying off everyday because its a mostly older demographic. The dems understand that and republicans dont. Its why we lose over and over.

Guess I'll research it a little. At this point I've been thinking it was just more slanted media BS smearing him . Not that it matters much, I'm unaffiliated and just get what we get for candidates and pretty much won't vote D for anyone for anything ever after how they've fucked me over so far. Being a Governor that ignored the PC crowd goes a long way with me.

even taking at absolute surface level his most widely known accomplishment, that 'don't teach sex ed to kids k-3rd grade' thing
While morally agreeable this time, it was still the state directly dictating what is taught in schools.
There ain't much more direct an example of how the gov't grew itself into every facet of our lives, generally under applause.

You really think a 1st grader needs to be sex educated? 6th grade was early enough for me.:flipoff2:

I mean fuck, remember all the shit enacted after 9/11? It was all "republican" stuff when passed, but it's all been used by "the other party" to astounding effect.
The state is the state, there is no meaningful demarcation between "parties"

No but it sets a precedent that will be used.
If you can't see what that precedent will be used for (and it ain't any traditional religion) you ain't been paying any attention.
I see this particular one as a precedent that needed to be set. I actually judge things on their merit in my own peculiar to some ways. Young minds don't need any help getting twisted from folks with weird agendas. Not putting a foot down just emboldens others to push more agendas. Like Critical Race Bias.

This crazy world we live in is the result of decades of non-proggressives ceding the field in all culture war battles.

I don't agree with all Desantis has done -from my libertarian views- but unlike most, he has fought that fight.

I think Vivek is the only candidate to speak about repealing those awful laws.

Shame on the rest. And the electorate.

Give it another few years, it'll get used as another stepping stone toward taking children away from their parents' influence.

I always caution people to never give government any power you wouldn't want yielded by your worst enemy because your worst enemy might get voted into office one day. Both parties are arrogant enough to think every time they get control they'll never lose it again so they ignore that very key lesson.

Some places are already too close to that for comfort now. Occasionally my kids would laugh at and make faces at pokey drivers when I passed them. I tried to mildly discourage that but my parents would have been appalled either way. Luckily my kids are less sociopathic than me so they probably didn't need to be removed from my influence.

We are so easy to forget facts.

When I was a essential worker Trump was the boss.

That wasn't one of the first 3 links I posted so it doesn't register (to some).:shaking::laughing:
