I've been watching various livestream webcams showing different parts of Kyiv for 2 days now and I haven't seen anything even remotely resembling a battle. No explosions or fires or sounds of war other than 1 short burst of machine gun fire and some sirens that sounded like an ambulance or fire truck. Both were isolated incidents in that nothing else seemed to happen before or after. What the fuck am I missing?
 
I really don’t see Russia going full-on suicidal and attacking us or any other NATO country.

While they have bodies and military, they have a lot of enemies. They also don’t have a lot of support from their citizenry, because I don’t think Putin has a lot of love in Russia. He’s like Biden. Numbers tell a lot of lies.

I've been watching that feed too.

Kind of wondering if Kyiv is like Altanta, GA; just a YUGE sprawling city and the cam has a narrow view lense.🤷‍♂️

It sounds and is brutal but that is how you put down a standing army, militia or insurgency. If you had served you would know that the term “military aged male” means you just got a check in the box to kill them. ROE in Iraq most of the time was any MAM, and a radio, cell phone, or binocular. If they got 2 checks in the boxes, they died.
It wasn’t lost on me that there was most certainly a number of unlucky bastards that couldn’t get a cell signal and went to the roof for a bar or two and died for it.
Of course ROE’s constantly change for our forces because we let politicians fight our wars. That is why they are long and drawn out. I have seen Team guys sent back to Norfolk for punching a piece of shit IED maker in the stomach. We shouldn’t be there if we are to that point.

Russia entered Ukraine, beyond the separatist borders, to get them to change policy. That isn't trying to be left alone. That is allowing Ukraine self determination. Denying self determination is denying existence:flipoff2:

Not worth it. Russia has all the resources to be a super power in that gigantic country. Corruption and lack of innovation has stopped them from tapping it.

Going to war over Alaskan oil would be a waste.

China has no need to go to full-scale global war. They are already winning peacefully. Buying up land here. Buying up corporations. Stealing sensitive information from American politicians.

This isn’t traditional war.
 
I saw on FUNKER530 this morning that a video of a cruise missile smacking into an apartment high rise building. Regardless if that was an “oops” or deliberate, that radically changes the game for Putin.

I'm sure it is a big city. The way the media has been reporting things, I at least expected to see some fires burning or some other indication of a battle. I'm watching a feed now that has 9 different cams and all I see is traffic moving along like normal. Not that I want to see a bunch of carnage, but I am very distrustful of the media and like to see things with my own eyes.

I had to leave to take the girlfriend to urgent care for her ankle so I didn’t get to read much about it. Both sides are going to blame the other because it becomes a human rights issue if they just dusted off a bunch of civilians. Makes sense UKR did it to get some international help in there. Not a smart move if it was Russia and deliberate.
 
So I did my patriotic duty last night and fired up Command and Conquer: Red Alert and ran some simulations. Here is what I found and should be the NATO strategy going forward:
-we must attack Russians ore trucks so they can stop building shit, number one priority
- we have to neutralize the Tesla coils, you can use some tactical nukes to take out the power plants or air power if they don't have SAMs around them
- TAKE OUT THE MAMMOTH TANKS

After a few theaters of battle using the above techniques and BTFO of the ruskies and their allies, it looks like a solid plan.

What? I thought Zelensky was on the streets of Kyiv slugging it out with Russian troops? The news has been saying Kyiv is under attack for 2 days. Headlines talking about dead babies and terrible shit like that.
 
The battle's not in Kyiv during the day.

They've been shooting down air craft before they can get to the cities.
