I mean if you're willing to pretend that your country didn't make an agreement with Nazi Germany to divide up Poland and other countries, that was just something that you were forced into to try and avoid war anything goes...

News us saying Ukraine is asking for emergency admittance into the European Union.

What does that get them? Does the Eu have troops or is it just a funds transfer thing?

Oh, did you mean like how Poland sided with Nazi Germany to divide up Czechoslovakia before the Nazis "changed their mind" ? Poland has always been on the wrong side, not through bad "effort" though. Better hit the books, Holmes.

If you mean the "deal" Peace in our times by Neville Chamberlain of England, was Poland a signatory to that ? Is that what you mean ? because if so, that is a corrupt association. But I dont know what you mean, please clarify or at least add another 50 words or so. :confused:

Apparently Russia didn't properly calculate the resistance they're currently up against.
And IMHO; I don't think Russia/Putin correctly calculated how NATO countries would react.
HOW MUCH IS RUSSIA/PUTIN WILLING TO SACRIFICE FOR THIS INVASION CAMPAIGN?


As a side note:
Poland is thanking God right now for joining NATO as quickly as they did after the Soviet collapse.:beer:

Russia has accepted Ukraine since the fall of the republic. Even in announcing that Ukraine shouldn't exist, they still said they were just going to recognize the break aways. And then even beyond that, they largely want a guarantee that Ukraine won't join nato.

Not demanding that Ukraine integrate fully with Russia etc.

Even if Russia thinks nato is determined to kill Russia, you cannot claim it is merely defensive by entering your neighbors. Even Russia admits that much though they won't call it a war.

That's not trying to be left alone
