That's a thing? Thought they hated each other? Or did the spetsnaz just kill off all the Muslim chechnyans that weren't fans of mother Russia?

Different tactics for different situations. Russia pretty much owns the air over Ukraine, since the Ukrainians don't have any fighter aircraft - just some helos and transport aircraft.

Low/Slow jet formations will serve to demoralize the population, and it lets Russia brag about their "superiority".

Never mind the fact that it's analogous to a College level wrestler going into a match with a jr high wrestler 2 weight classes below.
 
Dang that suck. I don't know what should be done either but strong written letters seems very weak.

Russia should stay in their space. We could say it's not our problem and whatever but what happens when all of a sudden they and China have something we need and the terms suck for us? They are both gobbling up resources that they can get their hands on and guess who gets to pay extra for it then?

To a point I would agree but America "Obama" convinced Ukraine to disarm as we would protect them.

As much as I hate that asshole, if America doesn't stand behind its word, then any other country should tell us to fuck off. Actually Ukraine should have gotten a clue over Russia taking crimea and rearmed themselves.
 
I don't think Putin plans to just take the 2 cities, he closing down and bombing way west as well as east. Seems he wants all of Ukraine. He is conducting conventional warfare by closing down ALL the airports, communication systems and infrastructure.

This is a direct result of the Obama admin funding and arming a far right wing coup in 2014 in an attempt to get Ukraine into NATO and allow us to install nuke sites less than 200 miles from Moscow. This was done so openly and brazenly that Congress passed a law when Trump took office baring future administrations from giving arms, money, or other support directly to Ukrainian militant groups. The Biden family profited from this immensely. This new government in Kiev has been extremely hostile to Moscow since taking power in 2014 and Trump spent 4 years trying to ease tensions between the two countries and got crucified in the media for it as the FBI made up intelligence reports painting him as a Russian agent and the collusion story took off.

There were videos on Youtube of calls between Victoria Nuland, and then ambassador to Ukraine Geoff Pyatt openly discussing to side with the coup because it would be disruptive to the EU. There were also recorded calls between members of the Obama admin discussing how to spin a fascist coup as a democratic revolution. They never ended up having to do much of that, because our media basically wrote the narrative for them and had it on tv in real time. Planning for this goes back to Hillary Clinton discussing regime changes in Ukraine as early as 2010 and we held seminars in US embassies in 2013 to teach far right Ukrainian militant groups how to organize online. A number of these separatist groups we trained, armed, and funded are straight up neo-nazi groups, like Azov battalion. There's photos of Pyatt at ceremonies honoring members, including Maxim Yarosh, as Ukrainian heroes. When the coup was over and the new regime started purging the military and civil services, Azov battalion and other militant groups were absorbed into the Ukrainian military.

Fact is, we've been pushing Russia into war for more than a decade. The people who profit heavily off of war in this country are looking for this to be our next Afghanistan. Of course none of this is being covered by media sources in this country, but you can find quite a bit of coverage in EU media sources. The Guardian in particular has regularly kept up on this for years.

He wants ALL of the territory that used to be under the thumb of the old USSR. IMO, next on his list is the Baltic States.

That video is from an air show a while back with horns overlaid...it's not from the actual invasion. Already been disproven.

Not all of the clans were against Russia, but are loyal to their leaders who are in putins pocket.

Ukraine does have su-27’s and mig 29’s
Only a handful left but they definitely don’t have enough to match Russia.
One landed in Romania today under f-16 escort
 
Ukraine is probably lost. We need to get ready to act with Nato. Protests in russia. was not expecting that. I think china moves in the next two weeks. Biden and the dems go down as the party that loses europe.

But hey there were no mean tweets last night and i'm sure russia is using preferred pronouns as they invade.

Hopefully this injects a little reality into the extreme left

About as much good as locking down Russian banks in the US lol

That would be a good but I honestly don't think "even if they know its true" will ever admit it. Their only page in their play book is to double down.
