What's new

Prepare for the "second wave" hoax. Fauci advocating federal mask mandate.

Maybe we can clarify it to "american capitalism" would that be better?

Well, i guess if you want to. does that mean you are acknowledging that your previous notion of what capitalism is was flawed?

As long as we are learning, then a positive discussion is happening and i'm all for it.

I'm curious to see how you can "clarify" anything into american capitalism, which has had massive influences from pre-mass-failed-state communism :rasta:

the baseless claim is me spitting back to you the standard conservative reaction to anyone that doesn't hold america capitalism at the ideal system.

ah, well that is because that standard response if fucking retarded and most people hip reaction doesn't recognize that american capitalism is a far cry from capitalism.

of course, that shit notion is also the basis of your supposed distaste of american capitalism, so  The ideal system is one of constant conflict and change that bends toward liberty, maybe we can get around to that at some point as a nation, but people electing joe biden and swallowing the disinformation campaign that trump is a racist because he said "very fine people" doesn't signal much hope :flipoff2:

What do you call the system we have in place in america?

Do we have a wealth concentration issue?

pure liberty means no roads

no sewer

no power.

you want that?

pure liberty means no roads

no sewer

no power.

you want that?

what are you basing that on  i don't believe that you are correct

sewer, power and roads exist in communities even in societies that are macro-anarchist.

there is massive liberty and capital incentive in those fields

edit: and i'm not an anarchist or an anarchist-capitalist

would you call those socialist projects/systems?

im not calling you an anarchist. you're not that type from what ive seen so far.

Do we have a wealth concentration issue?

i don't think we have a wealth concentration issue, do you?

what do you consider a wealth concentration issue? Like i said, i don't consider wealth concentration a primary aim of my life, so i have a difficult time finding something i don't value as an issue.

we could call the system we have in america "american capitalism" or "american socialism" or "american hybrid". it has stated ideals of liberty, massive state run failures as attempts to modify society and address perceived market failures. it is possibly nearer free market, at least internally, than any other "highly developed" nation in the world.

I do believe we have a wealth inequality issue. min wage should allow someone to survive in this country with the basics. if they show up and do an honest days work they should be able to survive. not fancy. basics. rent for a 1 bdr apartment. basic car. etc.

social security, single market government regulated health care industries, wage and rent controls, public and fully subsidized education programs, fully subsidized housing and telecom networks.

then we have authoritarian systems, such as punitive firearms regulations, automotive regulations, narcotics regulations and the like.

so we're not pure capitalism. we're got flavors from a few methods.

yes, i understand that you and many germans (i disagree with your 99% claim, based on your covid rates :flipoff2: ) do not support the same level of freedoms that we enjoy here in the USA, such as the freedom to assemble peacefully

It's the same right. Just with masks and distancing. People will still see you....

Can't have roads blocked, now can we...

But if your antifa does it ....

alright, well that means we have a different value system. I don't support the notion of coerced minimum wages.

most people don't live alone or need a car or any of that shit to survive. the vast majority of the people in the USA who are in that place and can't afford to make meager survival are only temporarily in that state, the fluidity is a side effect of free marketism and the freer the market, the more fluid, typically. yes, that means people will hit rock bottom, that also means they will have more opportunity to rise off the bottom.

the more that we destroy the free market (i.e. wage controls) the fewer opportunities and the less fluid the labor market/class structure of the group. by setting the bar very high, we get a whole helluva lot of people who will spend longer than they otherwise would on the bottom and the more likely to have enduring poverty rather than temporary

I agree, blocking roads is not peaceful assembly.

breaking people up for being indecent and not wearing the state prescribed clothing or standing at a density that is arbitrarily too high is absurd.

our antifa doesn't get the water hose :flipoff2:

what is the material difference between the two on a society?

significant.

currency manipulation destroys all non-fiat assets equally.

capital concentration, as you've framed it, represents the ability of people to leverage their assets, fiat or physical, beyond that manipulation so that opportunity can continue to exist.

when jeff bezos made a trillion $$ off of amazon's paper and real growth, how many millionaires were created on his coattails?

sure. its not the dream world you're describing.

do we need to go back through what i've posted until we find a "dream world" i've described

shit, all we've established at the moment is that you didn't know what the fuck you were talking about when you called me "not a capitalist" because i said i don't personally desire or intend to accumulate mass amounts of capital

educate me then oh superior one.

I do believe we have a wealth inequality issue. .

Nothing wrong with that.

I’m not sure why people think that is some giant monster that is killing society and people.

We also have intelligence inequality, common sense inequality, good looks inequality, willingness to work hard inequality. Are you also upset over that?

considering ability inequality IS reflected largely in income equality; yes. those same people are upset over the same things.
