What's new

new 7.3 gas ford

If my gmt800 dies before this limited inventory ends I'm going to be screwed. I figured I'd just drop 40k on an available XLT f250..... Not anymore

I've read of many production dates getting pushed back multiple times, so I'm not making any solid plans. It will also probably be a month from production to delivery.

it hit 15.1 when I pulled in the parking lot. this was the first time I got to drive it without the trailer hooked up.

I hope that means they are getting caught up on the '22 orders.
Not really, they just cut them off early in order to be able to make them during this model run.
I finally got my VIN with a production week of May 23rd. Ordered first week of December 2021. We’ll see
Same for my coworker. He's already got a buyer lined up for his old truck, pending delivery of his new one. Buyer will match whatever the dealer offers in trade (its another coworker).

well I took of Thursday with my 39' bumper pull trailer hooked up wit a Hyundai and a grand Cherokee on it. dropped them off in Jackson Mississippi. i got 8.4 miles per gallon running 70 to 80 mph. headed to Georgia and picked up two hummers. running empty I got 11 mpg. well the slick aero dynamics and the wanting to get home had me down to 5.8 mpg from Florida to Texas.

Those are some pretty damn good mpg numbers.
Pulling down and back to the Guadalupe river area on 281 had me to 8.6 mpg.

Seems like these things are starting to hit the used market for decent prices. Been thinking about offing the F150 and getting one since it would be nice to have a little more towing and hauling capacity and we don't commute with it anymore.

Anyone have anything bad to say about them?

Are you hotshotting, fuckin' around or...?

I didn't get it, that is my lane assist bull shit. it gives a little vibration when you wander.

On my F150, buried in the menus/settings on the center stack screen, are options for the lane assist. You set it to vibrate only, vibrate and steering aid, or steering aid only. First thing I did was turn off the vibrate. I occasionally use the lane assist, mostly to play with it. It does alright and is fairly seemless, until you're taking a 45 corner at 55 and it thinks you're just a little too close to the right side line than it prefers... But long straight stretches of road? Kinda nice, I guess. I usually leave it off.

Buddy wanted a hummer, finally got one for a decent price. Then the next week I picked up one at the auction. Well I just so happened to have a co worker who was quitting and moving to Mississippi. So I did him a favor.
Basically just doing dumb shit For shits and giggles.
