What's new

Must have M-18 tools

Glad you mentioned it, was going to buy it.

My high torque shit the bed yesterday.
Out of the blue won't work. Got it to go a few times banging it around, but something is fucked.

Not having luck with this shit. In the last ~4 months killed a drill, metal dry saw, grinder, and now this.
It's not the arrow...

For the packout mounting plates, are the Milwaukee plates the way to go, or some aftermarket metal ones?

I have two of the aftermarket ones so can’t really comment. The newer milfuckee ones are metal covered in plastic, not sure if older ones were just plastic. Being in fl I would probably want stainless or aluminum plates with matching hardware of it is going to be outside.

Good deal on batteries again for those that missed it last time showing 650 or so in stock.

Smokin deal. Thanks:flipoff2:

Some good deals there except the channel locks. They're hardened nicely but the slip joint is sloppy and tough so they're a pile of shit.

But they are Milwaukee. They are the bestest :homer:

I have a set of those. I don't like them much either. I leave them in the RV for seldom use.

They're shitty but the knockoff knipex style are even worse. Clamp hard and they skip teeth. I own both sets. :homer:

Sale must be done, showing $360 for me.

I grabbed some one day, returned them, they may be the worst pliers I’ve used in awhile. Knipex or nothing they are not that much more and so much better.

I carry a 10" knipex cobra with the quick button in my screwdriver pocket every day. Best type of channel locks I've ever had the pleasure of using. I have a larger pair of standard type knipex cobra in my box. All the old craftsman and channel lock get passed over for them.

Had a 6.5" saw and #8 battery for $206. Mine is the non fuel. Bought it 6 yrs ago, had no idea what fuel was.
I remember the date cause my then pup chewed the handle when I put him and it in the car for a 5 min ride and I was kinda pissed. Was brand new.

Anyway, Home Depot then called and said I can't buy it and borderline claimed I somehow "hacked" the website to be able to order it.

Cancelled it but claim I need to go to a store to get my $$ back.
Talk about a cluster fuck.

No idea what the deal is with them not honoring sales.

Said only way they would honor it is I'd have to go into the store before the sale runs out and special order, pay WA sales tax, barge shipping and wait 4-6 weeks.
(The Tote barge takes about 10 days, so no idea WTF barge they use. Some old busted plywood lashed together and a 1970s 10hp Evinrude or something.

Found one and a new version of the 1/2" impact off ebay for about $400 shipped.

So I've been wanting a little saw to keep on the excavator when I'm clearing, to nip up stuff. went to home depot monday to pickup this saw and the free battery deal. They have no idea how to do the deal with the free battery, they don't even think they carry those batteries in stock. so I said screw it, I'll go home and order it online.
ordered it tues morning, it says it'll be delivered wed. its now thurs and it still says its processing. so I did the online chat thing, and they look it up, and tell me its still processing, and to wait 48 hrs! I've already waited 48 hrs I want you to tell me why its still processing! no idea. so my options are wait longer, or cancel. I said if its not here friday I'm gonna cancel and get it somewhere else. wtf.
I need this on a job this coming monday. not interested in jumping off the machine every 5 min and starting a gas saw up for one or two cuts.

Those will spoil you in a hurry. Everything else is just junk:laughing:

pull start, put on ear muffs, cut, shut off, take off ear muffs, store smoking hot saw on excavator with no a/c. all I want is,,,,
hit trigger, set cold saw back down, push another tree over!

Ace hardware has a free 5.0 battery with the purchase of certain tools until the end of the month.

Just got my gen 2 stubby. It sure sounds and feels like it makes the 550 they claim just playing with it

M12, but that's the cheapest I've seen the heated jackets.

Got one for the wife and I. AOP trip in Dec will be toasty now :flipoff2:

I'd love to know why Home Depot treats AK like a red headed stepchild. Lowes doesn't do that, but they also don't have Milwaukee anymore.

Unavailable here, even just the coat without battery.

Been told it's pretty shitty though heats just chest, gut and shoulders areas.
Maybe I'm abnormal but it's normally my lower back and kidney areas that are getting cold. Don't think I've ever wished for a tit warmer.

Correct just the mid section, not the arms. I’d kind of like the arms more than mid, but it toasts you up, none the less. :smokin:

Their drill sucks ass

My Dewalt (made by Black n Decker) that the smoke came out of 22 years ago, is STILL a better drill than that Milwaukee POS, just sayin .

On the Milwaukee, the heat comes out of the back of the drill where you need to put your hand to push, so not only does it burn your hand but then the air can't get out so the drill gets hot, whoever designed that pile of shit obviously never used it .

However I have a pretty vast collection of Milwaukee Tools simply because I bought the big impact and it came with a charger that charges three different kind of batteries, and two batteries, so that got me started, now I have many of them, but the drill sucks donkey dicks, oh, and the chuck on it is also a pos .

Edit: rant off

Maybe how I let the smoke out of one. It'll get so hot at the back it's hand burning through gloves... and I'll do it when not forcing it.
Like just drilling 3/8" holes in 1/4" steel.

The m18 fuel drills did suck until the current generation. I smoked all my other ones, and the chucks did suck on the earlier ones.
