DRTDEVL is this the connector I'm looking for? I assume only the NAG1 uses it so anything that's listed as fitting the year/make/model and looks visually correct is in fact correct. Are cheap ones fine as far as the O-rings go or do I gotta buy a fancy one to get O-rings that won't leak?

Is there any reason to fuck with the conductor plate while I'm in there or should I just leave it be?

What's the preferred way to clean the harness? I assume the harness isn't standalone and I can't pull it without taking the whole vehicle apart.

I wouldn't get the cheapest of the cheap, but ether of the suppliers I listed above will get you and OEM product for a fraction of the price.

No matter what you do, the o-rings will eventually leak. Its just what they do.

The connector is included in a lot of the trans filter kits too, 30 bucks or so.

Seems like everything is using the same china connector or the "genuine" Mopar one which may very well be counterfeit so I said fuck it and bought the $20 Topaz brand kit that comes with a connector, filter and pan gasket (I'm definitely going to need to do pan gasket).

Odds are these people are gonna park it after something springs a leak in a year or two and the mechanic tells them to toss a grand at it. No fucks given about the difference between a 5yr fix and a 15yr fix.

Found it eventually. Looks like it's the same part for every NAG1 so you get good results searching by part number despite the listings only ever having a fraction of the applications listed.

That's what little bitches always say.
Real easy to talk shit from 3000mi away in the other corner of the country.

But then again, if you weren't a desert shitbird we probably wouldn't be on the terms we are.

Let me rephrase

Why is their a tow dolly in the mix :flipoff2:
Are you getting at the fact that I'm not "supposed" to tow this vehicle with two wheels on the ground?

Dropping the drive shaft seemed like it had way lower odds of turning into a cluster fuck than setting it up to flat tow in the seller's parking lot and more of a sure thing than trying to convince the Uhaul people that the car hauler is in fact safer to do dumb things with hence it's what I opted for.

So this is the world's most misleading diagram. That fucker is WAY up there. I was going off of where harness location should be relative to the pedal assembly features it passes by and that was just wrong.

So I got it out and go to take a look at C1 and C2 in the above diagram.

There is the faintest, faintest hint of something. Not sure if it's ATF or electronics grease. I think the logical next step is to pull the harness at C114 so I can see the condition there and get to cleaning it if needed.

DRTDEVL any advice since this is your wheelhouse? I assume the sprinter nerds have developed a procedure for cleaning that they know works.

Why haven't you just insured the fucker and parked it in the hood yet?
Because I live in Massachusetts not Arizona so all that would happen is every week a different teenager would rifle through it until one day a tow company steals it.

Bullshit. Put a Trump 2024 bumper sticker on it and park it at one of the elite institutions around Boston and the Antifa types will set it on fire.

There's no Antifa in MA because MA is going blue no matter who. :flipoff2:

Just spray out with a bunch of electrical cleaner and then blow it dry.
Arriving tomorrow. Can I toss a new TCM and test it before doing the new plug on the trans and cleaning the harness or is the plug itself likely to fix it and I should hold off on ordering a TCM?

My Kid got a 2007 version of this in the Laredo flavor. had 155k on it , she just sold it still chugging along at 190k .
its been known to get the DT's when it really hot out but other than that not a terrible ride.

Looks fine to me.

It wasn't plastic spot welded together. I just assumed it was from a casual look at it.
