MMW Dana 300 waiting list

there's enough in this thread that whoever spends money their way now really isn't that bright IMO. it's just stupid. you see guys on YouTube and Instagram with build pics and videos of their cases but if your nobody, like me, God be with you cause you're probably not getting your parts.

that said, i hope those of you waiting get your stuff.

but if this 300 I'm running blows up and I'm running my spare, I'll be reworking drivelines and going atlas.

This is where I'm at. I ordered one of these preemptively over a year ago and am now dealing with a dying case. My hope was that I'd be able to bolt it in without reworking everything in my chassis. I'm moments from pulling the plug on this and just ordering an Atlas even though that means I'll be doing significantly more work, including possibly having to move my engine/trans over an inch or so if I'm reading my tape right. At least I'll get the fucking thing.

It's been real fun watching "influencers" receive these cases while I've been in limbo for 430 days and they've held a significant pile of my money hostage.

that's crap if the case. I don't know why companies don't get it, could have the worlds most amazing "influencers" but if people can't get your parts then no one cares.

It all boils down to taking full payment up front, all is well when things keep moving but once there is any hold up that cash gets burnt and you’re robbing Peter to pay Paul.

They’re giving them to visible people to hopefully generate some sales to get more capitol for another run

Ive been in business making a custom product with long lead times for 23 years and seen it a million times.

I bet the buggy they have for sale will finance the next run of cases, and when that $ dries up…..

I've gotten very aggressive with trying to get into contact with them this week with no response. This has been the first time that they have been unresponsive. Shit has probably gone full sideways and I'm exploring my options to see if I can recover my money. I'm not feeling super hopeful though and feel like I'm likely out a significant amount of money. :mad3:

I had a similar no-response issue with a Behemoth order a few years back (original owners, not the current ones) - filed a complaint with AmEx and my $3000 was back in my account in seconds.

Unfortunately Visa will not do anything past 90 days. Which was less time than the original lead time. :shaking:

That would be according to what company the Visa card was issued under. I've have successfully disputed charges up to 6 months after it showed up on my account a couple of times over the years. It helped that the item ordered was never shipped.

So it may be possible for you especially explaining that you haven't received the product, but YMMV...

432 days. Probably should have started chasing these dicks before now. :emb:

Believe me, I'm trying everything. Called both the bank and Visa directly.

Thanks though. I'll take all the ideas I can get.
Only other option I can think of is contacting your State Attorney General or possibly the State Attorney General of the state the business resides in. They can either help or at lest point you in the direction you need to go to get resolution.

I got replacement case and I was at 90 days and getting concerned called and they shipped it.

If I was at 432 days I’d go full Doug’s axles on them.

I think it’s a lesson to anyone who wants to start one of these custom transfercase companies you need capital to start. Spinning handles on the side at night won’t cut it.

Same here....worth a call to the bank that issued your card.

Delete this thread and road trip to MMW and pick up your case unannounced. I bet there is at least one case there you can take home if they dont have your money.

I know there are others in this thread that have not received their parts. Several, including me, were or are keeping somewhat quiet in hopes that they don't piss Rob off. I'm done with that shit. Everyone needs to know what is actually going on here. They did a good job of trying to make it work I think but at this point they seem to be out of others peoples money and are maybe going into hiding. They have not replied to any of my attempts to contact them in over a month. I have used both of their official emails and the office phone. In addition the Wyoming state AG's office provided me with a cell phone that seems to be Rob's personal cell and what appears to be his personal email that he used to incorporate the business. He is not responding to these either. I've moved forward with WY's AG and am considering contacting the local sheriff's / police office to see if this constitutes theft in the state of WY.

I almost fell for the bling of a billet case. Glad I didn't order one. My atlas race case arrived 6 weeks ahead of schedule.

Let me know what you find out, I am in the same boat. My father recently had luck suing the owner of a body shop in small claims court for a similar situation that involved even more money. It was a lot of hassle, but he eventually got most of his money back. If there is a better way, I am all ears.

This should be a more cut and dry case since we have received nothing for our money.

Lots of good points, except they weren't selling the buggy. An individual was who paid to have them build it....just a few months after it got completed. Unless it's one I haven't seen yet.

I did get an e-mail back from them on 4/21, the last time I sent them one that said I was at the top of the list but not where on the top. I'm wondering at this point if they would even offer a refund.

If you ordered a case, or any other parts, from Midnight Metalworks and have not received your order PM me. With the help of 72buggygirl I got something going today that you'll likely benefit from being involved in.
