This is really unfortunate. I was looking forward to ordering one of these but I guess another company will bite the dust.

If you ordered a case, or any other parts, from Midnight Metalworks and have not received your order PM me. With the help of 72buggygirl I got something going today that you'll likely benefit from being involved in.
I also ordered a rock box and have not received it !

I stumbled upon this info this morning.

If nothing else, maybe a means of getting ahold of the guy that owes.

Big G doesn't provide a street view of 2058 Hickory Lane Sheridan Wyoming 82801, but you can just see the building on the right here... behind the camper (from 2015...)

This listing shows the home layout :lmao:

Well I finally got off my ass and called my credit card company (Bank of America) and disputed the charge from Midnight Metalworks. Thank goodness I called today because the agent told me that it has been so long that today was literally the last day I could have disputed the transaction

Bank of Ametica would only let you dispute charges from the last 90 days on their website, but apparently you can go a good bit further back if you call an agent. If you used a credit card, call your company NOW to dispute the charge.

I got my shit back into one piece.
This MMW box will not stay in gear. It pops out every time, under all circumstances.

I don’t think detent is a viable fix, because there’s some serious spring tension already.

😡

Midnight tweeker Works. 😡
The doubler, or the tcase?

Did you play with detent pressure? My MMW case has never once popped out of gear in over a year now. Mine is stock D300 2.62 gearing as well though with oem gear cut.

I haven’t messed with the detent yet. I think that’s where I’ll start.
The shift lever/ rod doesn’t appear to be moving when it pops out. The detent is already super stiff.

So it looks like the front output detent has some adjustability.

Look like you’re missing a jam nut on the rear detent spring.

I’m running my set screws almost flush with the jam nuts on mine for reference. 4:1 gears. I’d tighten them up a touch.

Edit: maybe set screw on shift fork is loose? Just saw these guys had left a snap ring off on front input in someone’s t-case and it grenaded. I can’t imagine the quality check is in place if they’re scrambling like they say they are.

This is an earlier photo, and I can see the jam nut was there, but loose.

I think you’re probably right about the shift fork being loose. The rod isn’t moving when it pops out. Probably going to have to yank it and spit the case.

Hopefully link shows up. The handle on the page is revkitmike. Had a hard time staying in gear before it grenaded. Snap ring wasn’t installed. After viewing this I’d pull yours apart.

My snap ring entire input housing are on my bench. NWF doubler in its place.

I tightened my detents.
There’s an internal problem. I’ll post up what I find. Hopefully it’s obvious.

Once youve seen a few fly by night companies wreck people's recreational plans you become a little hesitant to support them.

My first one was redline offroad. Was acquaintances with keith, a true oxygen thief.

Im thinking the popping out of gear tcase wasnt assembled correctly.

This is where my rear output fork is landing on low range detent. Barely catching the cogs on the output shaft.

I’m taking some measurements I’ll post up. Hopefully someone here can shed some light.

Is the snap rig posted earlier seated in your case or is it floating around?

I replaced my input with a doubler.
My snap ring wasn’t an issue.
My box arrived with the rear output way to fuchen tight…. That would’ve killed the case for sure. Also I needed a speedometer so I swapped the MMW rear output with a JB conversions…
