2016-2020

We saw a Trump administration. He spent like crazy while cutting taxes. Yay to the latter, but that makes the former even more unsustainable.

Our government has had champagne taste on a beer budget for a long time and he did nothing to change that trend.

By what metric?
I already said it. Less fed, more state, the way it's meant to be. Not one size fits all bullied from the top.
Covid, riots, etc. Let states decide. I assume you mean federal government when you say shrink government, right?

In other news, he also promoted to reopen schools that fall while the sheep screamed no.
Years later, even rat face Fauci admits Trump was right.

You can like Trump's social policies, what he wanted to do on the border, whatever. But in terms of spending and feeding the MIC and balancing the budget he was a fucking disaster. There's just no getting around it.

You're a broken record, dude. 3 posts in a row, all of them repeating the same thing over and over. Give it a break.

Let me ask you something. Who does not spend? Any President you recall that can serve as an example?
You think even your fantasy unicorn President would not sign dept into law?

Like I said, inconvenient reality.

It sounds like you're starting to come around to my point of view. Y'all are the ones trying to act like Trump was so great. I'm the one who has been saying that his social policies were basically just run of the mill Republican stuff while he outspent even the Democrats. There was nothing special about Trump in terms of actual governance. He just says mean things about people you don't like so you love him. And honestly, that's just the sad reality of modern American politics. No one is actually even running on agendas anymore. Everyone is just running in the other guy being the worst possible thing so you gotta vote for me to avoid that. At some point we have to stop playing that incredibly stupid game.

Let's go to the most basic metrics for determining size of government:

- 2017-2020: Number of federal workers increase every year

- 2017-2021: Federal spending (and debt) increase every year.

Some shrinking of government.

I honestly wish that Trump was who his dick riders thought he was. He's just not. You have to ignore his track record and just listen to his stump speeches. But reality never matched the rhetoric. The one thing he actually delivered on was appointed the judges that overturned Roe and that's been an anchor around other Republican's neck ever since.

having popular politicians just leads to less skepticism of their actions
Trump turned a lot of Republicans into what Democrats have been for decades - just sycophants who have to offer endless excuses for "their team". Republicans used to actually be critical of their politicians who didn't hold up their end of the bargain. Now they're just critical of Republicans who don't suck Trump's dick constantly.

Meanwhile, inconvenient reality...

So, your blaming Trump for congress budget bill? I agree, he didn't go nearly far enough. But assigning all the fucked up government problems to him is a stretch.

He signed it. His reasoning was he had to sign it to feed the MIC.

Who signed those bills?

The only way we the people get the budget of both fed a state's under control is to cut the funding of all the gov mice. Cut the intern or his immediate higher that tells our representatives that this is a good bill. Oh and cut the corporations are people. They aren't. That would be a start.

SCOTUS is why I voted Trump and will again. I sat out the previous 3 presidential elections because they all SUCKED! I really don't gave a shit about Roe vs Wade, even though that ruling was done off a lie. If Hitlary would have made it, I truly think we'd be in a civil war. For those that say nought, I worked with lots of Vets that were ready to go at it if she had got in. We all know what she would have done with the SCOTUS picks and it sure as hell wouldn't have been to follow or to honor the US Constitution. She would have put socialist/communist political activists on.

Yes, Trump is a fuck knuckle, his budget control was non existent and he truly should be kicked in the nuts for that, but Jesus Christ, PedoJoe is killing everyone with his fucking wide open Border and everything costs a hell of a lot more.

Who signed those bills?
Which President refused? Nixon, then they changed it where it goes into law wether the President signs it or not.
Where was Trump spending the money compared to where others have and are?

At least with Trump we would not be spending this kind of money on UKR.

I can absolutely appreciate it.

I have nothing to offer so I'm just going to say you're obsessed and act like that means I win. That's a very honest and intelligent approach.

I just actually pay a little bit of payment on to stuff and don't just rely on playing team sports politics.

Point of order, Congress ceded most of their power to the executive team many years ago so they could fuck off and just get rich while in office.

It's my dream to get elected to Congress and become the 5th most crooked Congress critter in the house....:smokin:

Yeah we would. He'd just be selling it on the scam of it being a loan and that they'll pay it back with interest knowing damn well that'll never happen. And y'all would lap it up and talk about what a genius he is. It'd be just like that big beautiful wall that Mexico was definitely gonna pay for.

Have you thought about seeking counseling?
