What's new

Javier Milei / Argentina

and why the far left has grown as fast and large as it has.

No.

This is why the left has grown so big in the past few decades:

I mean can ya blame them though? They had goblins dressed up as trans clowns reading stories to them and telling them gravity is anti science. I do have some good pondering for tonight on the porch though on a "would you rather in live in a time ruled by x or y".
This is ultimately the bipolar world we'll make. You can either have RuPaul grab your 3rd grader's ass with the school administration cheering on, or you can have your 3rd grader suspended for the rest of the year for not being born again. There will be no inbetween.

That wasn't my point with that flippant stab at you.

My point was that the state should have zero authority since all it has is threats.
Anyone and everyone should reject its ridiculous claims at every opportunity
No shit. That was kinda my point.

I keep waiting for the sane folks caught somewhere in the middle who keep holding their nose to vote for either blue or red one to say fuck it and stop doing it but it just hasn't happened yet.

The American government is not a pendulum it's a ratchet nothing is conserved and no government program is ever eliminated.

People who seek power go into government, reducing the size or scope of the government would be asking people who seek power to change their very nature, pretty please. That is why a lot of us seem to like Milei, he reminds me a lot of our founding fathers. The voluntary reduction or limitation of one's own potentially vulgar power is kind of up there morally with saving kids from a burning building in my book.

Consent of the governed is important, dont get me wrong, but we are sorely missing the objective morality that religion once provided. Maybe that means I'll someday vote for a christfag who burns me alive as an unbeliever. Oh well. :lmao:

The father of a friend of mine was a big union man in Peron's Argentina. Peron told people that he would double their salaries. My friend's father said "sure, but we won't be able to afford anything". The guy didn't have a long career in unionism.

It's the same slack brain people that believe raising the minimum wage to $20 (or whatever) will help the poors. These same people see something in the road up ahead and instead of changing lanes they freeze and wonder 'what's that?' then run it the fuck over.
Somebody posted a video of McDonald’s in the 90s a few days ago. There were so many workers behind the counter. Now they barely have enough to keep the drive thru and the counter open at the same time.

Trucker I watch was going through McDs drive through and they had the robotic voice so he sated ordering the same way, he told his daughter he wanted to make sure he was understood

That's absolutely true. Maybe not for McDonalds here, but for BoJangles for sure. they're so understaffed, and the ones that do work there are :mr-t: and don't give a fuck. I've stopped going. I refuse to pay for shit service. On the mornings that I stop for breakfast I now go to a small business that has two locations and get a sausage dog and drink for less money and made from real shit not microwave bacon and all.

do you think the success that he has had will embolden trump to try some of the same things here?

It's cute that people actually think that Trump wants to fix things despite spending like a drunken sailor on shore leave in his first term and making the swamp swampier than ever. Trump is just a blowhard. I wish Republicans could see through that.

How would it be different from previous admins
it is just 'more of the same with a different name'

I'm literally just asking for data. If he can break it down from 04, 08, 12, 16, 20 would be great.

Rather than just bitching and throwing out generalizations all the time.

He may be the first person on any forum I ever block.

So you want another 4 years if Biden?

You realize it's okay to criticize representative A, while at the same time hating representative B?

"Hornets nest in your garage, or your whole family dies of ebola. Pick one." Well.... uh.... I guess the hornet's nest. I certainly don't want my entire family to die of ebola. That's ridiculous. But for the record- I'm not super excited to have the nest in the garage.

Shrink government and slash spending? When has Trump expressed interest in that?
He did shrink government. Look at Covid, he delegated to the states for their rights. Same with riots.
Slash spending? Tell me who has done that?

A blowhard. So what? A blowhard that is making decisions that the deep established don't like. That's a good clue. Do you trust the current deep state more than you trust Trump?

Let me guess, we should only vote if our unicorn is on the ballet...
