I made the point to my liberal buddy that debt is going to cripple the US eventually, leaving us a banana republic with worthless currency. He said "Oh no, I'm not worried- the rest of the world is too tied up in the US, they would never let that happen. The UN would bail us out."

Shapiro post-October 7th has lost all my respect. It's very obvious he was never actually anti-woke, anti-affirmative action, pro free speech, etc. He was just butthurt his people weren't in the club. Post-October 7th he has become the wokest person on Earth. He's employing all of the exact same rhetoric and tactics he used to rightfully criticize the left for to go all in on getting his people into the club. Fuck that guy. Snake in the grass.

He is be all/end all southern Baptist Jewish, not regular Jewish. He's like 3 oven cooked briskets away from the daily yamaka and the curly sideburn thing. It was easy to not really notice all that but then some Israel shit went down and BAM he's all in.

You're not wrong. I've enjoyed him in the past when he's been able to have honest conversations like with Rogan. When he's in defense and attack dog mode he's super annoying. Listening to his conversations with guys like Rogan and Lex Friedman who were just having a conversation with him and not trying to win a debate he seemed like a legitimately intelligent and rational person (and honestly I think he is, he just exposed his true motivations post-October 7th). Very dug in on certain issues but hell, aren't we all? It was just that after the Hamas attack on Israel he threw ALL of his principles out the window that he'd built his brand on. He became woke as FUCK on all things regarding Israel. He literally became everything he built his reputation on standing against.

I did last round. Hafta start looking at who all we have running this year. Shit's insane. Damn near everyone I know in my generation talks about all kinds of Libertarian stuff without knowing it's Libertarian. We all hate what the two sides have become.
