Man, this build is sweet!

I tried using the same bump-stop cans with big bumps and they would slide in the clamp. I was told the clamp style can requires a bump-stop that has a collar on them to stop them from sliding.

Did you run the 3-link calculator on your link set-up? I'd be curious what it came out with.

Thanks. I’m quite a bit farther along now but I’m out of picture space on my account and need to upgrade to post more.

these bumps have a lip at the bottom that keep them from going to far up and the pinch bolts hold it in palace from falling out. Rear is the same way with cans I made with a single bottom pinch bolt and haven’t had issues.

I ran the numbers when I first started but a lot has changed since then. Reality was I only had so much space and put stuff where it and fit and cycled cleanly. Only so much room with everything going on.

here’s a link to my other build that is pretty up t date with where I’m at now till upgrade my account over here

Bad ass build for sure. Kind of curious, are you a fabricator by trade? This is definately a next level build coming out of your garage.:smokin:

I wish I was... this is just my hobby/what I spend all my money on though lol. Doing it all in my little 2 car garage on my off time lol. But thanks. Never really thought my work was that good but I’ve definitely improved over the years.

Awesome project and fabwork! I would like to see how you're cramming 2 shocks with the panhard on the driver side. That's something I've been struggling with. Keep up the work :smokin:

Any pictures your looking for in particular? Panhard is about an inch shorter than drag link to clear the bypass on the axle end end at articulation. Frame side I just moved toward to be in line on the axle but now the draglink just barely kisses the panhard bolt at bump and turned driver

Axle and links painted. Steel it makes it look like I almost know how to paint it lays so flat

Been in Moab since Friday. Truck works really well for so much last minute stuff. No complaints and no major issues besides a few small leaks that needed tightened

And a day trip to sand hollow a week and half ago. Maybe one more trip to sand hollow before it gets to hot then I’ll fix the rear shocks and start tying up all the loose ends and start some aluminum work

Sweet build! Have you gone fast in it yet?

Faster than I could before haha. Nothing impressive yet. Once I fix the rear and spend some time messing with the shocks I’m sure it’ll do good

No real updates. Did a couple sand hollow trips before it got to hot. Getting it ready for Sierra trek and rubicon in august. Just doing some detail work now.
Also picked up a new tow rig. Been busy with that doing fog lights and other little things. Trailer for a refresh too with some new paint and a fresh coat of stain on the deck.
dads jeepster is still cool and works really well

Picked up a bigger lathe and also found a round column mill. Built a bumper for the Tacoma and changed the grill and added some headlights.

And the last few days I finished the center console. Bead rolled the panels and used some dzus tabs to attach them. Not bad for my first try with the bead roller.

Some small maintenance things and it’ll be ready for trail hero
