Go fast 3 Link Tacoma sas

Looks good man. Are you going to add any additional bracing to the shock hoops?

Yeah it’ll get quite a bit more. Still need to connect an engine hoop bar, probably one from each leg to the frame and then the engine cage on top of that.

Adueling on instalandgram is the first I’ve seen sell them. Another guy I follow and has helped answer a lot of questions sold these to me for two or theee dollars each in 1/2 and 5/8. His is unleashed4x4

Is there a place where heterosexual men can buy these things?:flipoff2:

Lately it’s been one step forward and then 100 back. Had the lower shock mount bolts oriented the wrong way so bad to remake them. The steering arm got into the bypass so had to redo the uppers and angle them back 10 degrees. Bypass still kisses the panhard mount so will angle that in tomorrow. Slowly but surely getting there. Using all of the travel the shocks has though. Atleast on the bypass. Cause of the angles, coilover is the bump at articulation and bypass fully extended the down travel.
need to finish the lower shocks mounts and clearance the upper shock mounts to get more angle out of them and then it’s onto the engine cage.

Went to sand hollow over the weekend and rode with my dad for winter4x4jamboree. Was run. A couple roll overs. Gave me some more motivation to get working. Tried redoing the upper shock mounts again to inboard them more but stuff is to tight so made another set and put them back how I had them. Need to mess with the bypass orientation and do a little more cycling and finish the lower shock mounts but everything is tacked and cycled for the most part.

sitting at a 24.5 in frame height with 7.5 inches vertical up travel and about 8.5 under articulation.

took a break from the shocks and started on the engine cage. Took me a few hours to figure out the bender and notcher but got moving pretty well the second day.

Redid the fender bars. Probably add a 45 piece from the shock tower to the fender bar and then a rear hoop along the firewall and be done with the tube work. Probably time to move onto mounting everything to the tube work. May be time to make a list to so I know what I have to do lol

move the reservoir port to the shock body like the fronts
When someone sent me this they said the same thing. I’ll see how they do, if they work I’ll keep them, if it gives me to much trouble I’ll sell them and get a set with body mounted resi. The little bit of old tech I found on them says main issue with a top mounted resi is cavitation issues but can worked around. But this is my first go around with bypasses so if you know more please educate me lol.

Have you wheeled at Area 52 yet?
I’m not in the cool kids club. The group won’t disclose the location so no. I have a general idea of where it is but it was pulling teeth for them to show us two leaf out at good springs.

Some more progress. Only a few big things left then it’s just odds and ends. Axle needs one more shock tab and it can be pulled to be fully welded.

Fuse block mount made. The top will bolt to the engine cage so if I ever need to mess with it I can rotate it.

More progress. My dad cut some tabs and a radiator mount on his cnc table for me. Got the radiator tacked up. Axle is tacked together and everything cycles clean. Had to move the bump stops in another 1/4 in on the frame. Moving right a long I think.

Radiator, ac condenser, grill and fenders all mounted. Need to finish the last tube on the front and should be done with that

Battery cables ran. Finished the tube for the front x. It’s ugly but only way to clear the fitting on the ac condenser. Ordered a new grill. Not sure what to do today but thinking it may be time to pull the axle and work on that.

Started on a little something.... definitely more welding than I thought. Pre heated the cs to about 175 before welding inside and out. Still have gussets to make and bypass lower mounts to finalize. Kind of looks cool though
Not my best welds. Just couldn’t get comfortable I guess.

Awesome fab work!

Your welder/cutter cart looks sweet.

Also like how you setup your bender. Is it a JD2 with some Swag on it?

Thanks really trying to do my best work this time around with no short cuts.

first project with the new welder when I got it years ago. Works well with two bottles and welder and plasma.

it’s a protool with swag air over hydro. It’s actually my dads and has seen quite a bit of tube through it.
