didn't watch it, I don't click on anything instantgram or facebook, or tickitytockityThat video doesn't even come close to portraying the amount pants shitting noise coming out of that gun.
Story I was reading suggested that they were proximity fused with a backup fuse so they blow up when the tracer runs out.didn't watch it, I don't click on anything instantgram or facebook, or tickitytockity
the night videos with the tracers and the range-limiting projectiles blowing up at whatever distance are pretty doggone cool
I doubt they're programmable set-range airbursty fuses, I'm betting they're just set to blow up at some fixed range to reduce the size of the fragments raining down everywhere
Congrats!I did get married to Mrs. Crusty #3 in September, so there's that
There is one of these things down near Marfa, Big bend or somewhere down there.Technically they are "tethered aerostats". The network still exists and continues to fly. Think of it as a poor-man's AWACS but it points down instead of out and up. There used to be a mission out of the Keys that beamed US radio propaganda straight into Cuba. They couldn't jam it easily because the broadcast was powerful enough to burn through, but it just helped remind folks that freedom was merely 90 miles away.

There is a company that still makes them and sells specifically to our allies in the Middle East. They are much cheaper than satellites and easier to re-task. They have shortcomings, but Israel doesn't exactly have a space program to design, build, and launch LEO devices.
ETA: JLENS was the program that had the breakaway from APG.
Guess there's deeper "fuck around and find out" going on. Called it way back.

Why would they not use a really long extension cord so they don’t need an onboard genny ?Our local aerostat has a diesel generator on board to power the electronics. Has to be lowered to be refueled periodically and a preflight inspection.
Sun don't shine at night and copper wiring for conducting enough electricity to run everything is heavy. Why would they not use a really long extension cord so they don’t need an onboard genny ?
Already got one wire , just add an insulated wire with it .
Or a solar panel on top

That's a lot of military targets.

World Court in Hague is using a page right out of the Democrat Party's playbook:
Use the court/justice system in an attempt to silence/thwart ones opponent's success.
JUST LIKE THE '30s NA.ZIs...
At World Court, South Africa accuses Israel of Gaza genocide; Israel: Baseless claims
The Hague is urged to order immediate halt to IDF's war against Hamas; 'genocidal comments' by PM cited; Israel: Hamas attempted genocide on Oct. 7 and South Africa is its 'legal arm'www.timesofisrael.com
Brings to mind the chappelle and black bush.
“Oh the world court you should sanction me with your army, oh wait you don’t have an army. You know what you need to do then shut the fuck up.”
Starts @3 min I would clip it if I knew how.
