Debate prep

And if Trump doesn't do a second debate, the media will tall about how he obviously lost and is scared.

It's all about getting enough people sidelined to make election fraud seem "no evidence" again
Homie better do a second debate. He doesn't want to end on that performance. Even if the debate is biased and the deck is stacked against him, he'll look a hell of a lot better if he just sticks to facts, stays on message, and stays calm.

This is why I'm still a "Bush republican". Geopolitical conflicts, and their effects, are never isolated in their consequences. Globalism is here, and has been here. I don't give two shits about the Kursk Oblast or the people who live there. I do care about how the encroaching of Russia impacts Eastern Europe, European defense spending, Chinese/Russian expanding influence in Africa/South America, global grain and oil prices, to name a few. All of those, and more, are being directly impacted by the war, and Russian success is not good for American interests. We want foreign nations to buy our planes; not SU-37s. The next time India has to put in an order for new tanks, we want it to be Abrahams, not T-90s.

You may be fine with the idea of America losing its place at the global hegemon, but I am not. Peace, through strength, as Reagan once said.
We're still in a Bush foreign policy era. It's just the Democrats have most fervently adopted it. The GOP is 95% there but the Dems are all the way there and are pulling it off at a level that Cheney could only dream of. You mean we have a full blown proxy war between NATO and Russia and war in Israel with the possibility of a full blown regional Middle Eastern conflict breaking out? Jesus. Dick Cheney is going to die of exhaustion and dehydration from excessive masturbation.

So, he'll be fine just as long as he acts nothing like himself and how he has always acted?

Jesus dude. People are dying in a war that we should have prevented and could have ended years ago, but as long as the MIC maw is fed and GDP line go up, yay go USA!

Post soviet russian hardware is being exposed as the utter crap it is for what that's worth. We can't even keep ourselves from buying cheap chinese junk, if countries want to buy export versions of T-90s (way less advanced than their domestic T-90s) nothing we do is going to stop them.

Counterpoint is we have been at war damn near my entire life, and nothing is getting better. I have watched standard of living here drop while tensions escalate, and this is also fitting on the anniversary of a retaliatory strike against us for meddling all over the world and arguably the begining of the end of the United States global empire. We are in the brink of a nuclear war for one of the gayest reasons ever.

I do not support an economy based on arms sales and the wholesale destruction of human life, I support an economy based on trade and prosperity. You may be fine with a war based economy, but I have some morals.

Btw I enjoy your discussions and reading your posts on here!! I disagree with like 99% of it, but you put thought into it!

I get what you're saying, but the world has been at war since its existence. It's going to continue that way for the foreseeable future. War isn't the foundation upon which I want everything to be based on, but trying to shove it in a closet isn't going to help.

Who has the world's largest Navy right now?
People's Republic of China

China isn't preparing for ship vs. ship combat. Russia might be, but China isn't. So why the proliferation of ships? It's to project international might and control vital trade routes. A smart move. Throughout human history the richest countries also had the most powerful militaries. Those militaries aren't just for prosecuting wars, but to protect their interests. I don't believe anyone is ready to use nukes, Putin included. But their is a global game of musical chairs going on, and America is going to be left standing if we don't mitigate the rise of Russian/Chinese influence.

It's unbelievable that people like this actually exist. This is why it was so vital for Nikki Haley to fail miserably while the establishment was desperately trying to prop her up. This is what the establishment wants - absolute blank check for the MIC. That's why they wanted Haley vs. Kamala. They knew Kamala couldn't win a Democratic primary so they just didn't have one. They really hoped they could carry Haley over Trump or at the very least get her in as VP. Virtually guaranteed Trump gets JFK'd if he won and Haley was his VP. Same reason they smoked JFK to get LBJ in there. They had their full blown Vietnam war within a matter of days.

I'd argue that hypersonic anti-ship missiles will(or have already)change the need to have the largest navy. We've still got plenty of boats and the most carriers.

We have Fewer small ships in the Navy, Frigates & corvettes etc. But many ships that fill those rolls are run by our Coast Guard, even in foreign waters.

Also, Hypersonics are dangerous, for sure, but they are not the magical capital Ship killers that they are made out to be. Current and certainly future countermeasures can react in time and neutralize them.

DJT down over 13% today...
NKLA stock up almost 5%

hmmmm.

One thing most people don't realize is that most of the ChiCom Navy has a limited range. At present they're not capable of projecting force more than 500 miles from their coast.
Agreed.

But that's for now. They just (or are about to) commission a carrier if I recall correctly?

I completely agree. But China isn't building ships for combat. They're building them for presence. Projection of might, and deterrence. For that, numbers matter.

Edit-- and the Chinese Navy doesn't have gender neutral submarines.
if that's the case then they need to build more carriers.

Actually, if they want some military might, they probably need to start building better semiconductors and give the small boats a rest for a while.

She has a really long list of attack quotes to embroil him with. Key part of her studying on how to defeat him and she's got that playbook wide open.
Her team had a definite advantage there, they could see how DJT handled himself in other debates, and they knew exactly how to push his buttons, and predictably, his emotions got the better of him.

I predict that when President Kackles gets into office that congress is going to stonewall her just like they did with DJT and Pedo Joe. What we need is someone to babysit Congress and get them to streamline .gov...I know, I know, it's a pipe dream.

How did China get the largest navy. Answer, By not wasting money on other people’s war. Think of how strong our military would be if half of the money going to Ukraine went in it.

The equipment we sent to Ukraine was already bought and paid for. Our military will certainly re-stock its own supplies, while also gaining critical real-world use cases for improvements (in addition to seeing the capabilities of Iranian and North Korean weapons). Also occurring in real-time is an awakening of European defense spending, more countries joining NATO, and a devastation of Russian fighting capacity. With no American lives on the line.

I respect a difference in opinion as to what extend America should intervene in global conflicts, but the war in Ukraine is not as simple as "other people's war", which would be a label more suited to the ongoing conflict in Sudan.

Looks like the psy-op is working on a lot of people here to convince everyone Harris has already won the election.

I still maintain she only wins through cheating.
Convenient narrative to create where you can't possibly be wrong. Either Trump wins or Trump wins and they cheat him out of it.

Some of y'all really are extremely insulated from the reality that there are a LOT of never Trumpers out there.

I got to sit there with some anti-Trump, and some on-the-fence Trump people while I watched the debate. Dude bombed hard and gave them more ammo to talk shit when he could have shut them up.

Example: Abortion.
All Trump needed to say was the states finally had the right to choose rather than the federal government mandating abortion laws. It's a very diverse country spanning almost 4 million square miles with a population of over 300 million people and it's ludicrous to force them all to march in lock step over such a contentions issue. When they ask him if he'll pass a federal abortion ban he could have just leaned in to the mic and said one word. "No."

Easy peasy. Instead he got lost in the weeds and was spouting something about a governor talking about killing babies after they're born. Extreme examples aren't going to get any fence sitters over to his side.

He's better positioned than in 2020 IMO. The Harris hype is 100% manufactured, as only 4 years ago she couldn't get 3% in the primaries. Now all the sudden she's going to sweep the electoral college because she's "not Trump". I personally don't buy it and yes I understand there are millions upon millions of people who hate the guy. I just don't believe they'd tip the scale in a true one person one vote unadulterated election.

Probably in your circle because you are a closet never trumper just barely able to entertain the idea of voting for trump.

I travel for work and practically all I see is Trump signs. I said the same thing in 16. 2020 was a cheat plain and simple. If kamal wins its because they stole it again.
