Yes, the virus has an extremely low death rate, but that's just simply not all that needs to be considered. You guys throw around the "99%" figure like that's all there is to this virus, as in 99 perfectly healthy people with a positive test under their belt, and one dead old guy. That's simply not the case. Right now, this company is at 14% of employees that HAVE HAD or DO HAVE the virus. Zero of those were asymptomatic, all had your standard flu-like symptoms, so there's probably some more out there that just didn't ever get any test.. That figure is going up right now at a pretty good clip. It's pretty hard to reconcile "99% of people have no issues" with what's going on in the real world: sickness is an issue. Being out of work for two weeks is an issue. Being a possible carrier is an issue.

And while I haven't gotten it (officially), My doctor, when I asked him, damn near ordered me to get the vaccine, so I guess we cancel each other out.

Most of where I work has had it. Not sure if I had it and am of the 60% who don't get sick or if I've been really lucky.
I WILL NOT get the vaccine if it's the RNA BS but am open to the idea of J&Js old-school vaccine once it's approved.
Even then, I will only get it if it's mandated or if the new strains are much more potent/dangerous.

In exchange for a four hour shift of volunteering the clinic will give you the vaccine regardless of age. My wife fired off an email this morning to sign me up.
