You claimed that the government has the right to force a person who is sick to be imprisoned in their home because they pose a risk to others. More people die from the flu annually than likely will from COVID, yet mentioning that causes you so much anxiety that your arguments lock up and turn to "you moved the goal posts!"

It's amazing to me how many people who claim to support liberty are amongst the first to support or demand government step in an essentially put folks on house arrest.

Honestly, even pre-pandemic, staying home when you are sick is the considerate thing to do for your coworkers...

On the plus side, I along with the rest of our crew all tested negative. *including the older guy that had the most contact with the positive case.

Like I replied to Paragon...allergies, other minor issues, all cause similar symptoms. Telling someone to stay home from work because they have the sniffles or a little bit of a sore throat is absolutely asinine. How is any business going to operate if all the employees call off, because they "might" be sick. Seriously, consider this. Like virtually everything else in today's society, shit gets politicized and everyone is supposed to pick one extreme or the other based on political lines. Fuck that shit. It's idiotic. The reality is that wearing simple masks and making simple social distancing efforts greatly reduces the spread of this virus. Just fucking do that and get on with life. The idiots who want to huddle in their basements are overreacting unless they fit into a very vulnerable category (elderly with multiple underlying health conditions). The idiots who think we should just get back to normal while taking zero precautions are ignoring reality.

I think you're ignoring reality. Multiple states are running short on ICU rooms. Numbers have been rising sharply ever since Memorial Day and hospitalization generally trails a positive test by 2-3 weeks. I would agree with your "no concrete evidence" if I was talking about another lockdown. IMO, that's not warranted. But snowflakes acting like a simple face mask is greatly inhibiting their life or infringing on their freedoms are just laughable. It's a very simple step to take that is minimally intrusive and has been clinically shown to GREATLY reduce the spread of this virus. I'm sure a bunch of people bitched and moaned about their freedoms and the massive inconvenience of wearing a seatbelt when they were first invented too. The big difference here is that failing to wear a seat belt primarily just impacts the person making that decision while failing to wear a face mask impacts everyone you're encountering.
