If a virus has almost zero impact on 98% of folks, and ~99% of folks survive, is it your belief that the government should forcibly quarantine 98% of the population? Who's going to enforce that if 98% of government is quarantined as well?

If I feel fine and I have a job that is important for me to be at, and there are no high risk individuals at my workplace and/or my coworkers have no issue with me being there, then the .gov can pound sand. I'll avoid going to places I don't need to go to, but other than that I'm not going to sit in my house for two weeks if I feel fine.

But in the meantime we've ruined millions of lives by destroying jobs and completely wrecking our economy. The deaths from suicide and depression over the next 5 years will far overshadow the deaths from 'rona, but the MSM won't talk about that.

If you test positive for a highly contagious virus and you don't feel it necessary, within your social contract with other freedom loving individuals, to quarantine yourself so that you are not actively contributing to the spread then, by all means, the .gov should come in and make you sit in the corner.

It has nothing to do with how many do die or don't die in the U.S. It has to do with the fact that your liberty comes with responsibility. Because you so openly choose to shirk your responsibility then the .gov has to come in and remove everyone's liberties.
