Chief buggy

Soo here is the result. Front seat and rear seat mounts done. Pull 3 pins and it all comes out. Also pics of the position. I’m 6’2 and have the standard fist overhead. As the the bar behind me, yeh it is there. I actually have to lean my head back to touch it. It will get some padding.

Is it really 26" wide? That's HUGE and I wouldn't think 2 would fit in your chassis at 52" any way..,so that number has to be off.
No. That’s the actual packaging size. No idea why they would list that. Jegs is odd. The gray canvas were cheaper with no oversize shipping. But the vinyl and black canvas has diff costs and oversize shipping fees. Here is the actual sizing

I have that same helmet for riding MTB.

Thanks for doing my homework (sorry about that)....I looked on the site on a desktop and didnt' find the dimensions somehow. Just looked now and still don't see it. Something's wonky with the site right now though. I've refreshed the page several times and it's not loading all the content. I've personally had much better luck with Summit over Jegs though. Thanks for the info. That seems like a good low cost option for a seat.

Had a chance to work on interior stuff. Plan is to make this all disconnect. So the whole interior is removable. It will all get tube disconnects. Transfer case and range box shifters will mount on the backside of the bar when it narrows at the transmission

So my current plan is to mount brake boost/master, orbital, and seatbelt mounts..

plan is to use this booster/master. I know cutler fab has had good luck with it. 1.125 bore master. i will be makin my own offset pedal mount. Then using wilwood calipers

Wilwood 120-6814 DL II CALIPER 1.75/1.25

Then the rear will get plumbed with a wilwood cutting brake

Confirm they work well from bleeding it at Cutler 2 days ago. Best part is the dual sided outputs. Makes for a clean routing.

I dunno if Matt wants me to share pedal ratios etc but I'm sure he'd help you if you'd ask.
Just wait until after he's on the road to KOH, he's got shit to do today and tomorrow :)

BTW : Get the dynapro calipers. They're barely more $ and a lot better in terms of performance.

Do tell? Do they use the same mount spacing and offset?

like this style?

Yes. They are a bolt-on replacement to Dynalite, but are a lot stiffer and provide a much better pedal feel / performance.

I advise getting the one with bridge bolt :

120-9695
120-9693

or other P/N based off of rotor width.

interesting. they are about $75 more a piece.

For my setup with 1.25 rotors or like the BKOR kit, it would be PN# 120-9701

highly suggest going with narrower rotors for the same flex reasons

So pondering steering. I was going to run a surplus center 2.5x10 double ended ram. With Western Canadian rockwell weld blocks, with a few added touches to make it similar to the JHF/hulse type mounts

Then comes tie rods....do the typical clevis, then tie rods...Which is more expensive. Or do the goatbilt type that eliminate the the clevis, by threading the heims into the cylinder itself.

vs goatbilt

obviously there is a saving on the budget to go surplus, WCR, and goatbilt, vs clevis and ties rod

I had considered Hulse mounts, but they are for the 3x33 rams which i cant use

Barnes makes a nice clevis kit for about $100 with a coupon.

cheap route will be completely fine for a crawler.

yall see any down sides to the goatbilt style?

Also as with any new build, the brackets for the powersteering pump are for a CBR pump. Specifically this from the guy that made them

My past has been all GM p pumps. Just this summer, happened to twist off the shaft of mine doing donuts in a field at a park. Luckily its a common stock part, hit the parts store and had it back on trail the next day. So maybe thats a win for part commonality or a fail cause it failed.

It got me thinking, what's the XR/CBR pump like? I love the simplicity of it.

Buy from a little shop that does good work and has excellent customer support.

what coupon is this? Cause I have a growing cart. they show $159 + you gotta add a tie rod kit for $135-150

ooo i can get on board with that.

i just went full deep down this path. basically got a complete system from radial dynamics. it was a crazy rabbit hole of chasing down one issue after another so i said its worth it to solve it right... wont get it till after KOH but super stoked. recommend calling him

Also from what I have read, if I have a 2.5x10,

My best orbital options are roughly this-

160 (9.8) = 2.6 Turns 3.2 Turns
200 (12.2) = 2.0 Turns 2.6 Turns

true, but some of his stuff is $$$$

Agreed, but I think particularly his reservoir is worth it. His other stuff is great too....but yes, it's not inexpensive.

I do wonder why he only uses the TC pump and not the CBR....or if his own $2K pump is sort of the step up from the TC and then well past the CBR?
