You don't even have anything in the front bucket to keep the front on the ground... Doesn't look very sketchy from here

because they want to tow with a fiat that weighs 1,500 pounds and can not handle more than 50 pounds of tongue weight

150kg max tongue weight for light trailers (up to 3500kg IIRC) in Europe. Swan-neck style tow-ball. When they sell landrovers here they plate them for 350kg tongue weight with a square receiver.

Why are all the hitchs on little cars shaped like dicks?

What have they got against tongue weight?

They all keep getting bigger and bigger, with tall hoods.
A friend was telling me a reason for this, something about fitting all the parts and upgrades over time vs. simply bigger for the sake of big.

Anyway, yeah, the trucks keep growing and house garages stay the same.

and that tacoma is probably 5-10% bigger than the model it replaced... which was 5-10% bigger than the model it replaced.

Damn, sorry to hear about your deformity. I always thought they were shaped like swan-necks!

I think it's so they can reach around and under car bumpers and be removable with nothing protruding.

My theory is they started doing it this way for lighter cars and stuck with it. So a UK caravan or horse float will have max 150kg ball weight and be easily towed by a mondeo (US Ford Fusion).

Have you seen what they tow with in Europe? Over there a Ford Ranger is a huge vehicle.

You are balling over there if you have a new platform Ranger.

A new platform ranger couldn't be parked in most european cities. It's not balling, it's self-flagellation. They're longer than all the parking spaces. You can tow the same 3.5 ton with any ancient landrover and every Rangerover/Audi/BMW 4wd has more grunt than the ranger does anyway.

The only place there’s more room is the interior. Engine bays are jampacked just as they were when they were smaller, beds have shunk. I need four wheels that move that I somewhat control, sometimes only two. Being forced into new models as everything seems, shithole countries will make the same model vehicle for decades, I feel that should be an option here.

It’s not like it would affect the market because so many people would do that because if that were true then that would mean they were wrong about what the public wants so let the weirdos have a brand new 30 year old car.

American opulence. We're spoiled little fucks, as a whole, and I'm not just talking about vehicle features. But, too many people want to live in debt in order keep up with the Joneses.
"Next model of whatever with a computer in it has a little more storage or speed and and I'm not even using half the computing power of the one from a couple versions ago. But I need the latest and "greatest" model of it." Some people want simple technology in their day to day lives. That isn't the majority of the American buying public. So Asian countries and some from the Americas will continue to pump whatever into our stores and make suggestions on Amazon.
