Big Dumb Loads

Talk about pride in Craftsman-Shit
Couldn't get the stringers for the plywood straight :lmao:

Use to live 1/4 mile down stream of that covered bridge. It’s a popular swimming hole, and people jump off the top of the bridge all the time. I wouldn’t drive over it when I near it, but a friend who lives on the road drives his one ton supervisor truck over it daily. Or he did.

The idiot that drove over it was trying to take a shortcut to the job site from the pit.

Not mine, somebody just sent it to me. I wouldn’t have bet on the wrecker being able to lift it. I’d like to see how they attached, there’s a lot of stuff there you could break.

That’s got to be even more expensive than renting a crane!

I wanna know what asshat built that trailer with the axle in the center. That shit will never tow properly :shaking:
It's standard on Europoor shit.

They also love all manner of absurd converter dolly turntable trailers and pup trailers on dollys behind straight trucks.

Definately looks sketch under the front bumper. I'm thinking 35,000# plus on that wheel lift. Surprised it would do that.

Book lists the base front axle weight as 34,500. Two slabs on the upper transfer 4200 off the front axles. Two slabs on the deck add 10,600 to the front axles. One piece fly and lugs adds 1700 to the front axles, block tied to the front bumper adds 1100. They’ve got two foot of boom stuck out, I bet that transfers another 1000. 19’3” from center of the drives to center of the steers. 29’4” from center of the drives to the front bumper. So 30,000 at the bumper or whatever that comes out to.

It looks like they’re picking it up right in front of the front outrigger jack. The book also says says set that jack down last and pick it up first or you’ll bend the frame.

That Taco is earning her money on that run. the damn tires are bulging even if they are 6 ply, lol

European trailers are typically designed for lower tongue weight, with the trade-off of worse high-speed stability. That's also why the speed limit for every trailer over 750kg is 90 km/h (55 mph).

You need to pay a bit more attention to weight distribution, but otherwise it's no issue at all. I've towed 3500kg behind both my Range Rover and Mercedes GLE many times without any issue, and any extra anti-sway stuff.

And yes, surge brakes, electric brakes are illegal for some reason :homer:
