14B is the last axle you should be choosing for that use. The OEM spindles are shit compared to just about everything else. There's a reason Ruffstuff doesn't sell weld in Dana axle replacement spindles.

14 bolt has a tiny, narrow inner bearing. I think the bearing is the same as a Dana 60 front. Dana 70 or 80 has vastly larger inner bearings from when I was testing a 86 k30. Rear bearings lasted 6 months if they weren’t a premium bearing. The truck was around 12,000 empty and went from there. The fords never had a axle bearing problem.

Material quality is supposedly lacking on the OEM GM spindles hence why you see so many bent ones. But tons of people run them and few are running D70s in 40" tire buggies so how much of that is just sheer numbers? IDK.

Was googling the v 12 TDI Audi Q7. It was supposed to come here but never did because 2008 happened. It’s gonna dismal towrating despite 700 foot pounds of torque.

A tri-hull makes a decent skid being dragged around places where there's a lot of mud and snow. The owner was careful to tell me not to use a skiff because they're not stiff enough to last.
