Big Dumb Loads

I came up on one of these one time, k10 or k20 rolled off the front of somebody's car trailer. Helped them get it back on the deck. Pretty rural area, hillbillies, I probably wouldn't have helped if they were in town. I suggested they tied it down better the 2nd go around:laughing:
I hate how most of the time the bigger issue is getting it sorted before the cops show up vs just getting it back on the trailer safely. Because you know they aren't showing up to help but write tickets and call tow companies.

Some guy in india with a google voice number can probably call in a swatting that'll keep them busy.

Don't see any. Didn't many semis not have front brakes until relatively recently?
My impression was that they mandated them as part of the bullshit homogenization and federalization of shit in the 70s but they were common long before that, like 50s.

Easy way to tell on a Dayton equipped truck is that the old ones without brakes will have the smooth clean looking hubs with little to no web between the spokes. They grew big webs between the spokes to bolt the drums on.

No brakes:

I wish I had looked for something like that has a wheel that sticks way the fuck out like that GM when I did that trailer axle because that would make a huge difference on brake fitment.
