Im not too versed in them as well. This one will be getting a set of aftermarket aluminum heads to help it breathe a little bit better. From my research, there are some stock iron heads that breathe really well, so that will be my second option. This one will get heads, air gap intake, and a cam to wake it up some.Im not a chevy guy, vaguely know about big block heads, oval port and rectangle. haha. Youre not wrong jeff. If i wasnt building a new single seat, id probably jump on it. Hell, i may do it anyways. YOLO.You know it's ok to own/build more than one IH at a time. Look at me I do it all the time.![]()
Isn't that a requirement to be an International owner? If you have just one it will get lonely, so you have to get it a companion. And those two might not get along so you get a third, but you can't have just three because then it's two against one so you get a fourth. My wife says I have a sickness but I feel fine. You know it's ok to own/build more than one IH at a time. Look at me I do it all the time.![]()

Exhausting work this weekend. Ordered some K30 longtube headers and those hung down way too much. So i got lucky and found some long tubes for a first gen camaro. Apparently they are similar shaped as the k30 units but dont hang down as far. Its a lowered c10 trick to save 5-6 inches. Well, that didnt work either as i couldnt keep the collector out of the front driveshaft when at no lift ride height. I could probably make them work if/when i lift the truck. So i ordered a shorty header to see if i can make those work. Exhaust will cross under the trans and run parallel on the passenger side.
Terrible pic but these are the k30 long tubes from Summit.

Had to notch the engine crossmember to get the camaro headers to bolt up and when they did, the collector still hit the driveshaft. So i cut it off and it did give me more room but not enough to clear the driveshaft at ride height. Pic shows it at full droop. The shorty units should help and flow better than stock manifolds.

The donor truck for the chassis was apparently flooded at one point and i always assumed the diffs were full of water based on the outside appearance of everything else. So i popped the cover and was surprised it wasnt a chocolate milkshake inside. The gears looked nice.
And every fiber of my being is wanting me to buy this travelette 2wd and use its body vs the stepside single cab. Im fighting the urge so badly.

Yeah, its a 3ish hours from me.is that the one that popped up on FB for $3k or so? Looks solid for the price and like a no-brainer if you're local and have the room

It sold before i could get a chance to get it. 😢 Ah well.patiently waiting for more pics of the travelall![]()
