a half fucked up ground will drive you crazy as well
amps is wire speed on a CV supply, broSlower wire speed or more amps causes burn back. More wire or less amps and i get high or cold welds.
How many attempts did that take?
Duramax glow plug time sert tap out of #8 (driver side rear under the master cylinder). 3/32 6013.
5th nut I welded on.How many attempts did that take?
Get you some bare uncoated nuts for future un-fuckering

Meh quick trip to the local hardware to unfuck the truck before the cold weather set in.Get you some bare uncoated nuts for future un-fuckering
May I ask why you need them? They look good camo'dBuilt some floatation pods for the Jon boat. I TIGed the pods together( I'm not great at TIG yet but getting better). Used a spool gun to MIG them onto the boat.
Used my Lincoln Squarewave 175 to TIG and used my Lincoln Powermig 210mp to MIG them on to the boat. Surprisingly, the cheap Lincoln spool gun for the 210mp does a pretty good job!
Probbaly so that when he goes from 100MPH to 0MPH to go bass fishing he doesn't swamp when the wake comes back up on the sternMay I ask why you need them? They look good camo'd
It's a heavy motor hanging off the back, 25" shaft, 15 degree hull, jack plate...I needed to lessen my draft for shallow water. With the jack plate and pods, I might be able to go places that my buddies have no problem getting into with their 5 degree hull/20" shaft motor. But when their bitching that the water is rough, I'll be slicing right through the waves...Bonus is they make a great swim platformMay I ask why you need them? They look good camo'd
It helps this problem too. Probably lessened my draft by 2-3 inches with the pods.Probbaly so that when he goes from 100MPH to 0MPH to go bass fishing he doesn't swamp when the wake comes back up on the stern

Try using the grinder BEFORE you weld next time. Holy birds nest!
I identify as a grinder more than a welder

Start out on fillet welds twice the diameter of the filler rod. Was easier to learn control and speed that way when I was learning. In! thanks for the chance.
First 5 minutes ever with a TIG. Theres a LONG way to go. Might start with cleaning my material a little bit.
I don't mind gluing aluminum with a TIG welder, it is the SS that was a PITA for me, I overheated it too much and there is nothing you can do to fix that at all other then new parts to weld up.I have some real crap from when I was learning how to TIG (still learning). Fuck aluminum...never want to touch it again!
You can not tig rusty stuff. Don't even try.In! thanks for the chance.

what'd you do with the stop sign you stole for that post?
