What is the company name? Sister in law is a nurse and has done traveling for a few years. If you've a nurse and want to do the travel thing I can get you an intro to a good company.
$1,200/hr sounds ungodly. It sounds more like ‘the hospital pays the company $1,200/hr and the nurse actually gets paid $300/hr.’ Still a SHIT TON of money on top of a housing stipend.Haven't read every post, but someone mentioned traveling nurses. I recently learned about them when my wife got this job. She said they were paying one $1200/hr I'm sure it sucks, but damn that would be sweet to do when your young.
She also pitched her idea to the ceo and he seemed to like it. He also believes that the hospital is done either way.

Exactly...... That is my thoughts exactly.... Maybe if your single, young dont have much overhead then walking away from an established position is ok, but man I personally wouldn't do it. Using my wife as an example, it took her about 6 years to get where she is. She did it without a bachelors degree, which is a requirement now at where she works, but because she was there before it was a requirement they wont remove her. If she walks away she would have to either start out as a bottom of the barrel lab tech or just a phlebotomist again and who is to say that she would get the opportunity to become what she is again with out going to school and getting a bachelors degree.ignoring the entirety of the for-or-against discussion, this is the discussion that intrigues me way more. Many of these professions are specialized, decent paying jobs. Where do those holding out plan to work if most of the industry requires the same thing? I work for a large turbine manufacturer, in the shop, and our deadline is coming soon. MUCH of the work in this area is .gov related and going to have the same reqs as here, but lots of people both hourly & salary are saying they are going to let it ride and go find another job. But where is an hourly mechanic going to go find another job making $100k????
sure, I could find something else if I wanted to take a 50% pay cut. I have nothing against anyone that choose to, or doesn't choose to get the vaccine. I'm just baffled by some of the people who barely have a high school education banking on finding a different job that pays even remotely close to the same as they make here. Few of them are retirement age, many have so many toys or ex wives they live paycheck to paycheck. Guess they'll figure something out
Some people don't get that part and some don't care. It takes most people years to get where they are work wise. It's not as easy to walk away from as some would make it out to be.Exactly...... You have completely missed the point. There are still people left in the world with principles. No amount of money or success or threats will get the jab in my arm.ignoring the entirety of the for-or-against discussion, this is the discussion that intrigues me way more. I'm willing to walk from a great job over this bull shit. hell no its not easy, but that's the difference between talk and action. Some people don't get that part and some don't care. In January I was actually thinking about going to get the shot. I was like well I’ll give it a little longer and see what happens. Then the bribing started. That fired up my natural mistrust of the government. Then the mandates came for only the productive members of society. They don’t require the shot for the illegals or Afghans they brought over. No shot requirements for welfare or ssi recipients.I'm willing to walk from a great job over this bull shit. hell no its not easy, but that's the difference between talk and action.

I am now in the over my dead body camp. If I die from Covid it is what it is. Make sure you guys have a party with lots of hookers and blow for me.

And, it has become clear how are wolves, sheep and sheep dogs. I'll never think the same of the sheep again. In January I was actually thinking about going to get the shot. I'd have a hard time saying no to up to $600k/year... that's top 1% money/Exactly...... That is my thoughts exactly.... Same. The stuff I’ve seen about this vaccine...my health is worth more to me than money.I'm willing to walk from a great job over this bull shit. hell no its not easy, but that's the difference between talk and action.
I heard a cashier at Costco pretty open Lyly bitch about the vaccine mandate, said she was vaccinated, and said it was stupid at this point and she wasn’t getting other boosters. I was shocked because the girl looked 23-24 years old and obviously didn’t give a fuck if I did or didn’t have a problem with her being vaccinated. I figured Costco silenced all that talk.
Buddy folded like a lawn chair at a weight watchers convention. Got the J&J shot the Sunday before the deadline. Tough talk since the beginning and then when the rubber meets the road he goes from lion to lamb. Honestly not surprised, nice guy but not a ton of real spine in him.Friend has been on unpaid leave since Monday. We will see if he caves or not.

One of my co workers was like that. Vocally antivaxx, "fuck this I'll never take that shit, I'll quit" 2 weeks ago corporate rolled out the "if OSHA makes this mandatory we are going to have to comply" email, and yesterday he was talking about being vaxxed now.Buddy folded like a lawn chair at a weight watchers convention. This whole deal I believe has forced certain people to face the truth of who they are vs. what they tell themselves they are.I had a couple like that also, one came back after he took the jab and told me he must just be a coward.
Just had my pulmonary valve replaced on Wednesday (doing great now). Both nurses in recovery told my Wife and I do not get the covid vac shot. They are seeing a large increase in heart issues with it. With my heart issues, it could be fatal. I told them I don't have it and don't plan on ever getting it. They'd have to strap me down on a gurney and force it in me.It doesn't really matter, this isn't just some moral stand. The vaccine is injuring and killing people. keeping your 50% doesn't mean much when you have a fatal heart attack at 32.
She's gotta know a nurse there that gives the shots.
I know nurses are quite often nuts.
I would have to imagine there is some nurse that will be willing to take her in the back room, fill a syringe and give her the 'shot' and the card saying so. Maybe $300 cash for the right person?
