It takes a long time to get all questions answered before starting the job. It's not like we have a genius around here anymore who knows all about waterpumps, even those not on camaros.

How many more weeks are you goona milk this water pump job?:flipoff2:
Feel free to sponsor parts at any time.:flipoff2:
In the mean time I have to wait for the 1st and 3rd of every month to buy parts.

Not to mention; where I am currently with my mechanic skills (at 59y.o.) you people were in your teens.

Comprendre; Snowracer, The Syrup-Sucker?:flipoff2:

Hey, you're doing it. Even if it's taking longer than some would like to see. You aren't having someone else work on it. for you amigo.

And another thing(:flipoff2:) ; I don't usually like working in 20*F breezy weather.
I only have a carport to work under.

Wasnt all that long ago I did a head gasket on the toyota in the winter time. Blue tarp screwed to the side of the townhouse an tied to the cab:laughing: neighbor had enough mercy to come over with his water bottle of vodka every day to tell me how I was fucking up. Love that shit:lmao:

I just changed a front driveshaft in -20c laying on my back in a ft of h2o slushy shit on a not quite frozen river a few hundred feet from home cuz I had to git it out of the river before it froze solid tonight.
I’m 55, notta pussy

Oh; is most of your spine fused, Mr. Stud Muffin?:flipoff2:

I'm 100% disabled for a reason...

Since you already have to drain the coolant for the water pump and timing cover do yourself a favor and pull the radiator and grill. Takes two bolts and five screws and will make cleaning the block and whatnot far, far easier.
Good point.

Would I benefit from a heavy duty clutch fan?

I noticed there's three flavors:
1) Standard <--- (what I have).
2) Heavy duty
3) Extreme duty.

Not much yet but found my flaring kit, hoses, calipers, pads etc for the 78 1 ton swap and have a question.. these are the banjo bolts that came with either my calipers or my hoses (not sure which). When I put them through the hose you can see the shoulder gets wider and doesn't let the bolt pass through. Even with the copper washers on both sides of the hose the copper washer on the bolt head end moves up and down freely over the shoulder.

Looking at banjo bolts for a 2005 f250 (what these axles came from) they look just like what I have. Am I doing something retarded or what? I would just run out and buy some 3/8-24 banjo bolts without a shoulder but just wanted to check.

Once the hoses are on and I figure out how where to mount them I can bend up some hard lines and bleed the front brakes.

Rebuilt injectors, New cups, crankcase vent, trans vb coming apart tomorrow for tugger kit.
Hopefully pull the D60 apart before I head out for work, leaking out the tubes.

Spent $55 on a vc gasket. Left them in the parts washer and somehow one reacted to the Stoddard and the o ring swelled.
