Dat Face

I may put the other grill in it...
At least for a picture.

Since you live in snow country, it would be nice if you had a “drop on“ wood push bar so you don’t wreck the back of a vehicle your pushing.

are those the factory bezels for the headlights? if so, never noticed how they don't align with the grille at the top inner corners, at all

Yes they are. There are two types of bezels and two types of grills.

I am looking for the round ones, like on the original Big Ugly.

I plan to add a 2" receiver to the top, in between the Rydel Fab LED's

I have a push plate on solid 2" stock that pins in. That way it can be used front or rear.

aha! that does it. Definitely prefer the round ones personally
Same, if you look at the rendering, we used the round ones. Seems like they're chicken teeth rare. They also used both types of bezels with both grills.

Send me your mailing address. And yes those round ones are rare, unless you have an old International sickness.

I have a feeling based on the pictures ive seen over the years that Grendel is "that guy" in his neighborhood.
If you mean the guy to help them fix something, or who they call when they're 300 miles away and their daughter is home alone with the house alarm going off and the police 10 mins away?

Sure.

My neighbors all stop by to help or ask what I am doing. Grab a beer from the fridge, etc.

(Yes, I greeted the police with an automatic Saiga 12 in hand. No, there were no questions, as I had the guy on the ground, wire tied and scared to move.)

shortbus4x4 has been here, those are my driveway pics ;)

I vaguely remember reading some drama at the old place revolving around that name and your camper build if I'm not mistaken.

Whatever happened to the Diamond T camper/ toy hauler project? I liked that.

Sweet. Is the thread on it updated or did it get left at the other place?

On topic, those square headlight bezels were an attempt to make the last C series trucks look like the new D series because IH sold them both as 1969 models.

Got the intake side of the charge air cooler done in 3" and the turbo inlet done in 4"

Orginal was shit.
Got the only one in the east. They are still made, but rare.

Now that the cab is sealed up, I can start mocking up and bolting in more crap, like the Gauges, HVAC controller and some billet I had done for it.

Will be sending out the billet for black anodizing. Dash metal will be root beer, International script will be gold leaf under the black aluminum. Will have a black leather dash pad, with a root beer double French seam. AC vents will be black anodize.

Console will be rootbeer, with black billet window switches, assorted accessory switches and a black Dakota Digitals clock.

So, have to do something every day I am here, even if I fly to ATL later today.

Got the brake controller and the 5 tune selector switch in.

Starting designing my delay wiper set up, that gets the really big assed, ugly wiper motor away from the turbo. It also uses a funky wiper drive motion.

Cab is lifted way up in the last pic. With it down, there's about 2" of clearance. Less with a turbo blanket.

Got the bed back, and it's wrong... so I will fix it.

Also found a better tail gate.

Doing little things, like the MAF and CAI mounts.

wrong as in bad repairs? think I asked before - what do you do for rustproofing inside the panels when you patch? weld thru primer? I know you mentioned the NH spray undercoat stuff b/c i found it local here too, but i'm curious about behind the quarter panels and those types of areas

I'm still on the casual hunt for a 60's IH myself. either t-ette, or regular cab short bed. probably the latter to turn into a comfortable daily
