War Pig Version 12

So, getting more and more of the little details I like.

Removed a lot of dents from the headlight surrounds, etc.

t304 exhaust system, cheap, sourced from Amazon... some TIG welding needed. Includes a t304 muffler. Will do a few v-bands. Waiting for the flex hose to get here. Found a cheap Tee, too.

Oh and all Duramax fluid containers in the engine bay.

It's the little shit that takes the longest, like getting the seating position right. The IH bench bases were like 7" too tall. Looks like I'll still have storage under the seats, for first aid kits and stereo amps.

Or welding tabs to the fenders for the inner fenders.

I may make a custom grill for it, that follows the lines of the head light bezels.

I really, really want to be driving this thing. I also really want it to be right... so as mentioned earlier, it had a MDT (Travel crew) cowl on it and a LDT nose. The two don't fit up.

Seems like all LDT cowls are shit. The vents let leaves in and they rot from the inside out. The cowl is vented for the factory HVAC. This is getting Vintage Air, so all that shit goes away.

Should be good for another 50 + years.

This is getting Vintage Air, so all that shit goes away.
Don’t know if you have sourced all your stuff from vintage air. I haven’t found them to be all their cracked up to be. Most of their stuff is quality, but their customer service sucks. For example, I asked which evaporator was bigger.. They wouldn’t tell me. They acted like it was a trade seacret. I wasn’t asking for BTU’s. Just give me a idea how their different systems compare with each other. I got some vents that were for a 3” duct. The duct was like 1/2” bigger than the vent flange. When I called to ask why, they said they never tried them. I bought a condenser from them that the mounts were not on the same plane by over a 1/4”. They told me to just bolt it down flexing the whole thing. (I ended up using a lot of rubber)

In any case, the point is they are not the only fish in the sea. Someone on this site put me on to “Red Dot” and they were great. They are more of a industrial type supplier. I’ve also heard good things about “Restomod”.

They're all like that.

RestoMod is 3x the cost.

Red Dot doesn't do retro-fit systems that look/work worth a shit.

Yes, I already have the Magnum IV system. I also make all mine work well.

Gradually working our way back. Floor and door repair.

Still rolling along... seats, which are heated and cooled with full power, are in... along with the rest of the floor. No more rot.

Seems like you’re making pretty good progress on this. I know you got several “irons in the fire”. Do you have the hired help on this or is this all your handiwork?

Seat mounts are done.

Seats will look real good. In the one pic, the front seat is obviously way back. When you put it at a comfortable driving position, is there reasonable leg room in the back?

12" of room with the seat all the way back. That's more than my Dodge Ram.

(seat's not bolted in, in that pic)

So I know it's goofy but I've been looking for a shifter for this thing for a while.

Most are really expensive and don't do what I want:
