Vaccination mandates on the horizon.

Mask mandate is still on for us at my company in Roanoke.

And, we have over 35 people out with Covid.

President was asked at the last all hands what the split was for unvaxxed vs vaxxed that were out.

"We're not sure of that metric."

Bull fucking shit. If it was going your way you would use it to further your press for vaccination.

I got a big step in the right direction - My company backed off today!

"...we will not be requiring vaccines or mandatory testing at this point in time. However, as a reminder, it is critical that every employee enter their vaccination status into the system by January 31, 2022..."

They still want to track it though, because "we may move forward with these requirements in the future."
Reads like the exact same thing my company did. Though we were never vx or fired, I wasn't looking forward to the weekly testing that's for sure.
 
My wife works for a school district. She is unvaccinated so they require her to test weekly.
2 weeks go by with no results.

She calls the lab directly and come to find out on 1/06 she tested positive and 1/13 she is negative. Lab must have went oops and emailed the district. Little late for any protocols.

She was a little stuffed up one morning. 🙄

We have to have a negative lab test to go back to work but just symptoms to get out of work. I went in the "protocol" December 30th and tests were a week out. Morning of the test I got a call from the test location, had to cancel due to short staffing. Went back to work the next day since the guidelines were changed to 5 days. More like we're busy and we can't find anyone to cover, so come on back.

There's a vax clinic being put on for employees in conjunction with the county health department. We'd need to sign three waivers to get the vax. No mandate yet, company did a survey last year and I don't think they got the numbers they were looking for. Most of us are willing to walk if it's mandated.
 
During the week. After work. They are setup in the parking lot of the district and anyone can test. non Or vaxxed.
our district is giving out do it yourself at home testing kits, i guess they just trust people are testing themselves with it instead of someone/something else :homer::laughing:
 
Just insane that places are not just saying no.

Absolutely flawed testing, and a gene therapy shot that does nothing. Asinine.

Just refuse (both vax and testing) and let them fire you. Employees have a massive value right now. Enough people do and I’m sure it will continue to change. Look at the rate the dates keep changing…
 
Wife had to stay in the hospital for 4 days for acute colitis. She gets home and 2 days later she is running fever. She went to the doc and tested positive for covid. Caught it at the damn hospital. About 4 days later i start running fever. I go to doc to get meds for a cold. Got asked 4 different times if i was vaccinated and got a sideways look when i said no. Doc insisted several times that i take a covid test and i refused each time. Finally ask her whats the difference in treatment for covid and treatment for a cold. She said nothing. Got pissed when i ask her if she could see where i was going with the conversation.
She marked me positive via symptoms with no test. Wtf!

My oldest brother and his wife have been sick since last Monday. They tested negative a couple times and then finally popped hot a couple days ago. Now that they're feeling better they officially have the turbo sniffles. :laughing:

Yup That one. They will not even allow a contractor on site that hasn't got the jab.

As of today my company doubled down. Vaxed or fired. Denied my exemption yesterday.

I wanted to leave but every competitor requires it. I have a job offer for a 40k raise AND 20% bonus eligability. They too require it. I couldn't really sleep last night over this. Unemployed or vaxed. And I have no idea which Vax is least likely to kill me.

As best I understand, the single jab has the least side effects, unless that pill (Moderna?) becomes available. (I'm no Dr tho)

It's just turned into a giant game of virtue-signaling. It's been shown that the shots DO NOT prevent infection or transmission. Implied that they lessen infection scope( but that is only speculation, as there is no way to really qualify that parameter). And reported that more people who are infected and hospitalized in the U.S., are un-vaxed (but the validity of 'reporting' has been questionable, at best) and contradicts other reports internationally.

What a completely dumb-ass game these employers play.

for 40k a year and sticking it o the other company id figure out a way to provide proof of being vaxxed. What's the worst that can happen if they find out? fire you?
 
Wife works at a nursing home. Just had a resident elderly man have adverse reaction to the booster. Dropped dead heart attack. It was one hell of a coincidence if not the booster.

Same happened to my next door neighbor, got the booster, heart attack an hour later. Luckily he survived it but has a pacemaker now. Fuckin' guy doesn't think it has anything to do with his booster though.:shaking:

There is federal money attached to that covid diagnosis. That is why the medical industry has jumped on the bandwagon lock, stock, and barrel.
 
I work for the Govt and they are now talking about making the booster mandatory. I have already decided that I am not going to take it. Just doesn't make sense to me. It doesn't seem to do anything aside from causing premature death. So it looks like I may be making my move to W.VA a little sooner than expected.

Ask them if they will put in writing that they will cover your medical bills for life if you have adverse reactions to the vax. I can't state it as fact but I've heard that some people have been able to get their employer to back down on this. rumors be rumors...........
