Ultra4 4600 VW Touareg V10 TDI Build

Brake lines, install axles, some hydraulic lines, buncho misc stuff like install the fire extinguishers. No more fabbing, just assembling everything

p.s. she wiiiide

You have big balls bringing an unfinished car 1/2 way across the country, throwing it together on the lake bed and then sending it @KOH untested. I think you are nuts but admire the fuck out of your determination. :smokin:

Good luck and please make it further than that fucktard Charles4x4 did his first try at KOH.

Hahah I am nuts. This started out as a Touareg for a KOH build...

kick ass bro. cant wait to see you out there:beer:

I hate to be debbie downer but in light of this I'm betting he'll DNF for some little dumb thing and if he's back next year with a bunch of hours on the chassis he'll do a lot better.
At this point making the start will be a HUGE win. Im really hoping he continues improving this just to watch

What was the driver to leave so early and finish stuff on the lakebed instead of take another week and finish it in the shop? It seems like it'd be more efficient working on it in the shop than in the swamp?

Make hands make light work. There's an army of fabricators on the lakebed. It's me in my shop.

I think you have to make it like 37 miles to beat Charles4x4 record. Drive slow if you have to to keep it together that far.
that CoreyYJ TTB guy who had the formula off road? guy from overseas driving - didnt he make it like 2 miles?

Am I doing this right?

LetzRoll team brought Alan Johnson’s pile of 4500 class car parts out and ESAB finished a bunch of real important fab work for it to take the green flag one year, 2017 I think.

Now these are records I can beat!

No, Toyota 4 Runner overland dousch bag that scammed people out of parts and labor and then went like 37miles at KOH and parked it.
He didnt exactly park it. He tore the steering off the knuckle and had to stop. That was Marlin Crawlers fuckup.

No, dude parked it after the steering arm we told him to gusset failed because he had every excuse in the book why he can't gusset it before the race. IMO that was 100% planned on his part. Can't hurt his wannabe race car before he sells it for all the money.

It was a cool truck though and the new owner seems to be doing thingd with it

He didn’t know much and trusted Marlins design. You can not say he planned to break it without evidence

It's definitely a cool truck now that the new owner fixed all the issues it had and threw portals on it. :smokin:
Different one isn’t it? If I have my 4runners right Alex Fleming is the new owner and it’s the Sherpa one? And the TWC one with portals is a different machine?
