What's new

Trump's chances of winning? Down to the wire, you're Chic Anderson - make the call.

You and anybody that does not support a Muslim ban is responsible for that. That teacher died because of you, those church-goers (whom you probably hate) are your fault. Muslims are the Scorpion, and they what Scorpions do. You allowed it. It's your fault.

islam won't die out with a ban of any sort, that is well demonstrated. I also put in effort to keep up with the spread and influence of islam and wholly regard it as a low quality ideal. it needs something similar to the protestant reformation and it is well possible that isis and the extremism of the past 50 years that it represents can bring about those sorts of reforms. i dunno, communism in afghanistan tried it which gave rise to the pashtun-taliban over there. it won't be quickly resolved, but in all likelyhood it will only be resolved 'internally'

oddly, that is why i also support constant revolution in many islam countries. occilate between more heinous and more liberal and eventually see what floats up

3Q GDP grew 33.1%

You don't keep up on financial news. I know a few people here are involved with finance.

So we are down for the year by 7%, but that is a remarkable recovery, due no doubt to Trump's lower corporate and capital taxes, and lower regulation.

You can't dispute this. This is not a matter of opinion. One of your Lefty leaders could not produce this recovery.

And this despite Lefties ruining the economies of various States such as Gretchen and Michigan.

But I don't expect a Lefty such as yourself to understand Economics 101 and 102. You work on feelings and (fake and mutable) values. Because you're less intelligent, and have an overly-high opinion of your own morality.

-7% overall for the year = MAAAAGGGGGGAAAAAAA!!!!! That's an amazingly effective set of tax and regulation lowering, maybe we can shoot for -15% next quarter! That's double good!

You keep attacking my education, WTF sort of education do you even have aside from swabbie school? Have you even taken an economics class?

well, you lack nuance and critical thinking, so you've probably got at least 4 years of college :flipoff2:

I was probably too young to remember Regan parties. I know my dad supported him, but never talked about him the same way I see people raving about Trump now.

Biden is far from a socialist. Remember way back when on the other forum and you guys told me there's no way Biden would get the nomination because the democratic party was too far extreme left and I said we'll see?

Biden is a limp noodle, he sold his soul to the gods of the party and will govern as such. That makes him a socialist even if he stays on the top of the ticket. Kameltoe will be running the show in short order and she's like Bernie only without the mansions.

in the shitter? it set a record high not too terribly long ago :rasta: the largest economy in the nation, CA, is still under high, generally, covid restrictions. open it all up, watch the growth return

Yeah it was, and that's when he was touting it. Then it dove from almost 30k to under 20k in March and still hasn't recovered. And it was on its way up while the GDP nosedived 30% in Q2. So what was that about the DOW being a great indicator of economic performance?

That sounds great but when you consider the Q1 ~5% drop and Q2 ~30% drop it's not really all that great. It might be even worse after the inevitable revision that will come in the next month or so.

And where did I ever say that Joe was a good candidate?

Pretty good when you consider all the blue states that are still closed.

no, it went from under 20k in march to nearly 30k in august and set a new record high

and there is that. mama jojo said "black lives matter!" and thinks she can walk the trash line of "we support the phrase but not the movement but the people but not the power" or some soft nonsense.

trump said "the first i heard of black lives matter, they were chanting 'wrap the pigs up and fry them like bacon'"

James Lindsay is even voting Trump!!!!
his last podcast.... listen to the end..... “make America great again”!!!!!

Speculation.

Sounds like the "Corona won't kill me, so fuck it"

I agree, Islam is a disease.

Your point is that people should be murdered so that you can have Muslim friends? I don't see the value, in a Pro/Con sense.

Unlike anything else in society, Islamic Violence is 100% preventable. 100%.

Covid is the cause of the decrease, Despite the media's best efforts, Covid is not Trump's fault, It was China's and Biden would bow to them. The speed of the recovery is excellent. Watch it stop instantly if Biden gets in as all the spender's in the country suddenly clinch up tight.

It never quite hit 30k and still hasn't bounced above the record of 29,551 in February. It's also currently under 27k and falling...

nearly = not quite

https://www.statista.com/statistics/...of-djia-index/

29.276 in feb,

28.679 in oct.

that's a helluva bounce back from 20.704 in march (weekly average, not daily)

so yeah, when trump was making the DJIA statements, it had recovered to "nearly" the previous record set in february :rasta: and was "nearly" 30k again

edit: 29,100.50 was the daily high maximum close in September. witihn a handful of points of the feb highs

Sorry but without those the GDP would never have bounced that much.

and if every state were open and there were no limits on capacity, it is likely that most places would still not be at the same levels they were at in January because people are STILL going to choose to not go everywhere nearly as much. but the absurd limits are still having an outsized effect

Hmmm, 'keep'? I don't remember attacking your education.

I'm attacking your thinking. I mention Econ 101 and 2 because the basic principles of business cycle, private investment, and composition of the stock market are covered in those (mostly 101, 102 is more about what curves cross when).

I myself am a High School dropout.

Get the hell out of here with your silly numbers!
Trump said it's back up! It's not. He lied! :flipoff2:

And yes, there are people leaning toward actual socialism in the democratic party, and they need to go.

https://www.dsausa.org/about-us/what-is-democratic-socialism/

Aren’t you a party that’s in competition with the Democratic Party for votes and support?

No, we are not a separate party. Like our friends and allies in the feminist, labor, civil rights, religious, and community organizing movements, many of us have been active in the Democratic Party. We work with those movements to strengthen the party’s left wing, represented by the Congressional Progressive Caucus.

socialism is alive and well in the democratic party, this really is YOUR fight for YOUR party, and there are many among you who are also against the socialist label.

Democratic socialists have long rejected the belief that the whole economy should be centrally planned. While we believe that democratic planning can shape major social investments like mass transit, housing, and energy, market mechanisms are needed to determine the demand for many consumer goods.

:lmao:

anyways, you should read the whole link that is their policy platform explanation. it's hilarious and wild

Yeah, I'm aware there are socialists trying to hijack the party. Democrats can no longer just vote along party lines, they need to research each candidate at every level before they pull the lever. This is a problem all the way down to choosing a board of supervisors candidate in our local county.

this is what has pushed a bunch of D voters to R voters this year, trying to rebuke the S party growth
