Tourist submarine exploring Titanic wreckage disappears in Atlantic Ocean

I am sure that they are going to go after the wreckage. It would be really interesting to see if the bow titanium bell still has the view port intact.
As I read the story (which may have been misquoting), it was talking about the viewport assembly as a whole, will be interesting to see where the failure was, my money is on the carbon fiber, or where it was glued to one of the ends.
I don't think it was dust as it was in water when it happened.:flipoff2:
Mud then?
Just came across this:

Just came across this:

I saw those mounts last night catching up some of the videos of this thing and wondered, how they worked, I assumed the inner skin was cosmetic and there was bulkhead/cable chase in there to screw too.
Looking at your still that sure as fuck looks like carbon weave not stainless like I thought.

seen that many times

window leaked and then held pressure within when they got it back on board the ship.
impressive when he opened the acess port (with a hammer) and water came blasting out

That's gotta be the one I'm thinking of.
The water was ejecting to the right?

I had it saved somewhere and can't find it :bawling:
I'll keep looking.

If you can find it I will reply to the post where you share it with one of these ->

Jesus, who needs torque wrenches and a torque sequence? Not like we are going to the bottom of the ocean ...o wait? I've seen tweakers bolting on a set of small block heads with more precision and care.
Jesus fucking Christ! I'm more careful putting on my brake rotors on my bike than that. :barf:

So why in the fuck did the navy let it leak that they have top secret sonar that heard that pos implode? Seems like something we should've kept in our back pocket. But clown world so I guess it's ok. :jester:

Because its been known since the 1970s or 1980s? The only question is where its exact limits are.

Seems like I've watched documentaries about subs playing cat and mouse games with sounds, Nuke subs with special shaped props that are near silent in the water.

Like if you dropped a fork in the galley someone is listening and hears it. If I remember right they have templates of sounds to match to.
But maybe this is all just too many Hollywood movie BS

Also hearing the sound without having a known pattern to match it to would make it pretty damn tough to blurt out Hey we just heard your sub implode. everyone is dead.

Whatever you quoted says SDK facebook error. What is it? Is there another link or key words so I can try to search for it elsewhere?

cant find the video

it was Beebe and Barton back in the 1930s
they lowered it to a depth of only 3000 feet when it started leaking in
