The Grand Tour

Throttle House on YouTube is another show with hosts that have a good dynamic.

Watched it last night, I liked it. Starkly beautiful terrain, and cool journey.

Like you guys, I hope they do something else as a trio once they're done with cars

The drone footage over the train was a neat peespective.

For sure, except I kinda expected 'better' footage from an Amazon production, the guys flying at KOH this year would've killed that. Guess that's how spoiled things are these days.

Also some segments seemed as long as that damn train  yes predictable jokes, the snowmobile thing waa funny, but it seemed to drag in places. Weird to criticize something for being too long, but IMO could've been shorter and more engaging, or this length but with more content.

Not disappointed though, I enjoyed it and will probably watch again a time or two.

Car trek is good, they haven't done one in a while, because hovie's and tavarish's divorces.
They admit it's a rip off of old top gear without the budget.
Sad to see the grand tour go, but it's probably past time. They have done some great things.
The French episode had changed my view of cars somewhat. Why not just use it and run it hard instead of keeping miles off it and treating it like it's irreplaceable.
Hoovie said something in a recent video that made it sound like they were done with those. We will see.

I used to watch Hoovie more often but he's kinda turned into a bunch of depression.

Best car youtube right now is probably throttle house and they're fairly local to me (I occasionally recognize the roads they're on), collecting cars is fine (more so Chris Harris), I don't mind carwow just because crazy drag races, and every once and a while I'll still suffer through a doug demuro video if I'm interested in a specific vehicle, and that henry cathpole (w/e his name is) guy if I stumble across whatever channel he's on this week.

The only name I recognize in your post is Chris Harris. Never heard of any of those shows.

Ed bolian (the super tall guy from car trek) has said on his vin wiki channel and a few others they are coming back this year.

They kind of said something about that when they said they were only doing this and one more. They said on top of age and physical condition they feel they have done most everything there is to do and are out of ideas.

Watched it last night. Love the show. The situation at the end would suck.

Notice that even the "poor" has trash everywhere and cell phones....🤔

Crazy how much garbage there was everywhere they went.

I have not seen it yet, but have you ever driven in Baja? You will be driving around in one of the most beautiful areas and there will just be fields with trash. Basically they find a beautiful spot and just start dumping their trash. Not like a landfill just like slobs.

Watched it last night. Was a little disappointed. All of the "funny stuff" was VERY planned... Caught me off guard with how obvious it all was.

Well except the snowmobile bit. That was pretty funny
I thought the same. I feel like they are trying too hard now. It was ok but definitely not their best work.

Plenty trashy white poor areas. Ever roll through a trailer park? 😄
Yes, we have plenty of those around here. The tornados keep them cleaned out though. Third world countries are on a whole nother level though. 90%+ of their population is trailer park trashy.

Look at the rio grande and the amount of trash that's all over. The people and the litter.

I used to watch Top Gear religiously. The last few years I've only seen a few of their episodes, often fast forwarding, and it seems like more of what they have been doing for the last twenty years. The three of them have plenty of money. Why not quit while they are on top?

Clarckson's Farm....That I adore.

I never understood why they would do some of the scripted things that they do. So in the most recent one, going down the hillside when the road was right next to it or the mine field clip. It doesn’t add anything to the episode and feels forced.

Hated the mine field.

Enjoyed watching the fuel truck bomb the sand hill.

Gas truck explosion was huge, but not needed.

Yeah I agree with all of those points you guys bring up. While I enjoyed the episode as a whole, the overly scripted bits were a bit painful compared to some of their best episodes
