The Grand Tour

The BBC's flagship car show Top Gear will not return "for the foreseeable future"

I can see the current top gear not doing well. They blew it when the lost the trio.

Grand tour being done I can see too, the trio is getting old. Without makeup they are all looking a bit worn out.

My favorite non trio oddly was the top gear usa guys like foust, wood and ferrara they just needed to be more of themselves.

That said YouTube and instagram have amazing talent that does some really great stuff on pretty low budgets. But it’s hard to weed through the junk.

A big hole in the market is about to open and someone will fill it.

I used to watch Top Gear with great delight, but after several decades, it's more of the same.

I really enjoyed Clarkson's Farm. Great new material.

the cinemeatogocraycphy, well, the pictures and scenery, of top gear is nowhere near the youtube-filmed-on-iphone quality.

Even the short tent normal episodes looked good

Bummer, but at their ages I can't belive they stayed at it so long.

Hard to believe its been 7 years with Amazon. Been a good run but I think they have been running out of new material for a long time.

Watched a 2004 episode the other day. They said Hammond's 1979 911 was worth maybe $8k

New James May series out, 'Our Man In India'.

I liked the Japan one, the Italy one felt a little weird at times, but still looking forward to checking this out. Something to do while I'm on an overnight Amtrak.

I had watched the previous ones and just watched his India trip. Honestly, I think the series has been the most entertaining thing I've seen James in besides the trio. I like that he gets off the beaten path a bit, by choice or forced by the crew lol. Cool insight into those cultures

I didn’t realize they actually filmed it. I thought they had it planned but cancelled beforehand.

That would be dope
I believe that one did get canned but they did do one or are or are in mauritania or zimbabwe. Whichever one the new one isnt in.

Should be one more late in the year. That is supposed to be it.

Thought that I had read that they were still planning on doing things together but it may not involve cars. Honestly the best part about the show is the interaction and bantering between the three, would probably watch them doing anything together.

Same. I like that they do cars but it is the dynamic and enjoyment of life they have that is what i really watch for.

Car Trek with Tavarish, Hoovie and another dude is pretty entertaining. Same three guy concept, similar themes.

Car trek is good, they haven't done one in a while, because hovie's and tavarish's divorces.
They admit it's a rip off of old top gear without the budget.
Sad to see the grand tour go, but it's probably past time. They have done some great things.
The French episode had changed my view of cars somewhat. Why not just use it and run it hard instead of keeping miles off it and treating it like it's irreplaceable.

Its not like he doesn't know it. He has said that is why it is ending is he is to fat and out of shape and old. He's lived his life and enjoyed it which is what i like about that bunch. They did what they wanted to do and made a killing doing it.
+whatever for their dynamic. I'd watch The View with those three.
