The Grand Tour

The only person I think could possibly replace clarkson would be jay lenno and heā€™s just as old if not older. You need a someone into cars and not afraid to make fun of themselves, yet a big enough star to drive interest unless itā€™s self funded.

Half of the great episodes/ skits are great not only because of the cars and what happens but the chemistry and banter between them.

You need them to be around each other often enough to be irritated but good enough friends they can be pissed at each other go to bed and the next day itā€™s back to friends.

Leno's got a good thing going, he won't walk away from that. His wife has dementia and he's conservator, I doubt he'd take the job anyways.

Not Leno. Heā€™s an excellent historian and presenter but lacks the charisma.

Tim Allen might be ok but heā€™s getting old and is kinda a one man show.

We have been watching the 3 and the name of the show means nothing. The content honestly really doesnā€™t matter.

Yep, it was like a celebration of their professional lives.

Just finished watching it. Loved it. There doesn't need to be a "remake". All good things come to and end and they've given us many...22...years of enjoyment. Let it be.

Tips hat....enjoy life gentlemen.

Being that they have ā€œdone everything there is to do in a carā€ what would you have them do next?

I would like to see them continue to do exactly what they just did but Jermey is really starting to look unhealthy, even if he is the most busy of the three.

Besides clarksons farm do any of them have any other projects announced?

James did a cooking show and has a Gin brand.

Love Clarkson's farm.

If you like James May by himself these are good.

James did the traveling show also for 3 seasons recently on Amazon. Pretty good actually.

I couldn't stand his cooking shows

Iā€™ve seen Jamesā€™s stuff on Amazon. Thought Japan was better than the Italian show though. Will be interesting to see what he does with his gin brand if anything.

I know Hammond does a lot of the Uk discovery shows with machines and engineering. ā€œMega machines and extreme engineeringā€ or some such nonsense.

Iā€™m surprised Hammond hasnā€™t done more with Amazon but he has his own YouTube thing drivetribe, not a big fan of it though the main host is annoying and then seem to do a lot of click bait stuff.

Only thing I can think of that they didnt do was drive around the world, even though they kind of did. It would have been interesting to see them drive around it with each episode dedicated to a different region and stopping at previous locations of episodes or specials. It could have been 2 seasons or so of content and could have been billed as the ā€œlast or final tour.ā€ Set up similarly to the one they just released.

Just finished. I'm glad they were able to go out like that instead of what the BBC did after they had enough of Jeremy.

I wish they added more photos/history of the production crew, but at the end of the day the show isn't about the production crew.

Maybe a spin off special of the "Making of Top Gear" or some such a few years down the road would be a welcome addition.

The wife and I were talking about it today we have been watching them since we got married.

Well done.

Let me start by saying that I am not an emotions guy really. I don't often get the feels. That said these guys have been doing this since I was seven. They have been doing these specials since I was 12 and I have been watching all that time. Including watching with my brother who has been gone a little over 10 years now and never got to see some of their finer work.

It was a great episode. One of their best I think. But incredibly bittersweet to me. I will definitely miss seeing these guys work together and I came a lot closer to struggling to hold back my "allergies" a few times more than I like to admit.
