Creep was an Army mechanic-
Illinois deputy who killed Sonya Massey discharged from Army for 'serious misconduct' in Kansas
Sean Grayson, who is white, is a former county sheriff deputy in Illinois. He is charged with murder in the July 6 death of Massey, who is Black. He was serving at Fort Riley in Kansas when the army discharged him.www.kcur.org
Very important to point out white vs. black race anytime a black person is injured.Thank God they told us he was white in the first sentence. This changes everything.
Files away in useless knowledge bank for “some day where I have to be John Wick” that I hope never comes and that I’m to out of shape to actually participate inNot comparing Sonya to the bad days back then, the culprits used to mix lye, ammonia & petroleum jelly (Vaseline) in boiling water and toss at the police. Heaven forbid you get "splashed" in the eyes-
Why not? She called them and let them in. It was her. They didn't just show up on their own.Not saying they should have been in her house in the first place
There was no reason for them to enter the house, there was no reason for them to instruct her to fuck with that pot of boiling water. If they already knew her, there was no reason to see her i.d.Why not? She called them and let them in. It was her. They didn't just show up on their own.
Should the cops simply ignore 911 calls?
They didn't need to come in her house for anything. Could have waited outside while she got her IDWhy not? She called them and let them in. It was her. They didn't just show up on their own.

Yup, would be beyond a shadow of a doubt if she came at them with boiling water then. They didn't need to come in her house for anything. Could have waited outside while she got her ID
I'm going to guess that even if she tried, it never would have reached the LEO's... So was it worth a gun shot vs. a taser??The first video made me sick. Looked like they just murdered her right there. I couldn't figure out why her "In the name of jesus" line made the cop go for his gun. Second video added a little more info though. Even with a gun pointed at her, she still tried to throw the boiling water on that cop right before he shot her. This is before he shot her and after she had ducked down behind the counter. She came back up with the pot again and tried to throw it on him:
So I'm wondering if maybe there was a history of her clashing with people and saying that jesus line right before shtf every time and the police knew about it?
Not saying they should have been in her house in the first place, but it looks like she went after the dude right before he shot her.
She did try and it didn't reach them. Later in the footage you can see steam coming off the chair in front of the LEO who shot her. Crazy lady with a pot of water doesn't merit lethal force. If he had one, he definitely should have pulled a tazer instead.I'm going to guess that even if she tried, it never would have reached the LEO's... So was it worth a gun shot vs. a taser??
If there's no backstory, then everyone but the second cop in that video is completely unhinged. What was said is what stood out the most to me
Wha??? Lucky.but that's easy for me to say sitting in my comfy chair with no crazy ladies around.
The perks of working in an all male department.Wha??? Lucky.

There has to be backstory... I hope.
I went back and watched it again. There doesn't seem to be anything that happens between "i'll shoot you right in your fucking face." and the time he decides to actually draw on her other than her maybe starting to say "I'll rebuke you in the name of jesus" again and getting cut off after "I'll".Just to come right outta the gate with "I'll shoot you in your fucking face" or whatever it was. Just seemed a bit much
immediate escalation there not deescalation. Training should be better than that and if you have the instincts that you’re afraid of minor threats the officer should find a new career or go back to active duty where that response is sort of ok. I have friends who say that during their deployments they had to absolutely be sure this type of reaction was justified when shooting terrorists as the whole world was watching but when they came back here and ended up cops that the bar was crazy low for use of force on US citizens.Just to come right outta the gate with "I'll shoot you in your fucking face" or whatever it was. Just seemed a bit much

Just guessing here, but I think it's really common for someone to call the cops and when the cops show up at their door, they invite the cops in and the cops usually enter to discuss the situation inside rather than outside with busy bodies and such. They didn't need to come in her house for anything.
Did you watch the video? I never invite anyone in my house.Just guessing here, but I think it's really common for someone to call the cops and when the cops show up at their door, they invite the cops in and the cops usually enter to discuss the situation inside rather than outside with busy bodies and such.
This. And if I talk to someone, especially cops at my front door I make a point to walk all the way out and shut the door behind me so they can't see into my house for a bullshit probable cause search and can't legally let themselves in.Did you watch the video? I never invite anyone in my house.
This is what I saw, and nobody is dropping a pot of boiling water on their feet. She doesn't try to throw the water, she's trying to set the pot down when they go nuts and start shooting at her. She comes back up with the pot and tries to set it down again when they end up killing her. Can't blame her for not just dropping boiling water all over herself while she's getting shot at.
Video starts with them already in the home. Is there video from before they enter?Did you watch the video? I never invite anyone in my house.
First video in this thread .Video starts with them already in the home. Is there video from before they enter?
