What's new

Random stuff you made.

Built a hand crank hoist for a mast mount solar panel last couple days. Buddy builds avalanche mitigation systems. This mounts to the corner of his building. Mast gets lowered when chopper brings in oxygen tank delivery.

I've always wonder just how you recover a dropped pipe or pump for that matter.

I stepped it to give it more material above the pocket on the other side and to make it more of a pain in the ass for myself to fit the next beam lol. The other side will just get a regular half notch I think.

A breaker hammer is useful to have around - except it is a pain to lug around and also to store.

Harbor Freight makes a cart, but it's pretty short. When you're over six foot it's like trying to push the one of kiddie carts around the grocery store. Worse when you're trying to maneuver it across an uneven job site with the little wheels.

If you're doing more welding on it anyway, I'd add a couple gussets from the fronts of the tubes to the foot plate. They start cracking in that area with heavy use.

needs more triangles:beer:.....

She looks like an ex of mine. Exact same pissed off **** face

Ok, added some triangles... And circles...

v1.0 was the straight 90 deg one
double sided one, I guess I coulda made it single sided and still have pretty much the same utility?
handles are sch80 3/4 gas pipe, so the open end of the handle gets used most often, when kinking bends on the ends of every bar

I'd been using a section of pipe and a bent house jack column pipe before

Tools that I never knew existed. But then I've never had to find out. Every time I work on the well head, I worry about it. On bigger bore wells or big tanks, I tie rope to all of my wrenches.

This was the first attempt, we thought that it would break the corroded steel out of the coupling and thread into it.
