What's new

Random stuff you made.

:lmao:
I gotta fuckton (37?) of patents now. All of them owned by the prior employer. Nothing other than pride ever to be gained by them. There is nothing in that patio furniture modification worth $0.0002.
Dude. I know that. I think it's super cool that you've done that, even if employer owned.

My comment was props, and a poke

I made this thing-a-ma-bob last night... :flipoff2:

I'll post up another picture when it's all done.

whatever it is, it needs more triangulation :flipoff2:

My tire machine corner was an absolute shit show with crap piled up in the corner and duckbill hammers and slide hammer bead breakers hard to get to and falling over. Just an absolute pain in the ass. Decided I'd order up a mobile "welding" cart from Vevor since it was the perfect width and length for this project. Made some racks for one end to hold the hammers, and bead breakers then decided I wanted to mount my tire spreader on there too, and then might as well make a spot for the tire grinder and patch stitcher as well! Bottom "rack" is a place for the bottoms of the bead breakers to sit in and also I welded the casters to it on that end because I absolutely hate 4 swivel casters on a cart. Makes them go all wonky and not steer where you want them to.

This end got a rack for all my tire spoons and prybars as well as a couple small tire spreaders.

Took the flat iron braces off and made some out of angle and added an upper shelf so I can put some organizers with patches and valve stems and whtnot on there. Put a keg of slime with a pump, bucket of tire soap bottle jacks, and hydraulic bead breaker on the bottom shelf too. That takes care of probably 80% of my tire crap in a somewhat organized fashion so I can wheel it out of the corner and should make cleaning that corner way easier. I am planning on building a little shelf unit in the corner to house the rest of the overflow stuff.

Talk about 10lbs of shit in a 5lb bucket!

Are those little casters going to live?

Nice work but Gawdamn.

Yeah that's how I have to cram shit in my shop because the entire shop is 10lbs of shit in a 5lb bucket! The casters are rolling nice for now. If they shit the bed I'll replace them with some heavier duty ones. In reality it'll probably only roll out from the corner like 10' to get what I need or work on a tire and then put it right back so it shouldn't see a ton of rough terrain or anything like that. If I'm doing a few tractor tires I might roll it out the big door onto the slab so I'll have everything at my immediate disposal.

You still have overflow

You underestimate my hoarding abilities! besides what's pictured I still have a couple more small buckets of bead lube (forgot I had them when I ordered up the big bucket), tire balancing beads, a scale for the balancing beads, another manual bead breaker that clamps on the rim and you use a ratchet or impact to break the bead. Some big ol tire boots/patches, patches with valve stems on them for tubes, etc... Hell I even have a couple big 27 gallon totes full of different tubes in the other room on a shelf. Those fuckers are heavy! :lmao:

What’s the blue apparatus hanging off of it?

Yeah it's a tire spreader. Used to have a foot pump hydraulic jack that ran it, but that shit the bed, so I put an air cylinder on there and rigged it up with a little joystick valve.

Ever tried something like this for deburring?

Seem like it'd be quick if you could rig it up on a horizontal motor or just lay a drill press on its side

I've went through a couple of them. They work really good for finishing cut bolts, but they don't last very long.

Nephew is a PSA fanboy, he usually gets a gift card or two for Christmas. I was in SC for a conference this summer, so I stopped in one. I picked up some swag for him, hat, tee shirt, bunch of stickers. I'll be seeing him soon-ish. Decided to frame a selfie I took of me in front of PSA Myrtle Beach for him.

I bought a 2 pack of cheap 5x7 frames on Prime Deal Days.

Glad I got a 2 pack of frames. It's cheap MDF with a sticker veneer that looks like barn wood. I was able to clean the guns up with a craft knife, but that bandolier was a lost cause.

I made vs. 2.0 without the bandolier.

Amazon's cheapest epoxy kit with black glittery dye. I've used epoxy for a lot of stuff, but this is my first decorative pour. Turns out my table isn't level.

I wish the bandolier had worked out. Need to be a little more discerning about my cheap picture frames if I do something like this again. Though solid wood frames probably aren't cheap enough for me to be willing to whittle on. I actually shopped around for an off the shelf frame with guns on it, but all I could find were western themed with revolvers on them. It mostly turned out like I wanted. I'll be opening an Etsy store any day now.:flipoff2: Should be good for a laugh with the nephew at least.

Nephew got a big kick out of this. I'll spare you the selfie of me in front of PSA I framed in it. He was debating on hanging it in his room or at work next to the pictures of his boss' kids. :lmao:
