What's new

New Ford Duallys are 6+ months out?

From a thread on FTE, I can confirm around here the high trim 450's aren't showing on any dealer sites.

XLT for the win. Who needs the sunroof and ball massaging seats. Get the bench seat and the wife/gf/mistress/floozie riding shotgun will have unencumbered access to massage your junk.

Heated cooled and massaging seats are nice as hell if you spend a lot of time in the truck. I probably average 20 hours a week behind and it really is nice.

Any word on any changes to the 25 model year trucks if any?

Nothing big. The preliminary build sheet is out somewhere. I glanced at it but I don't think there are any major changes.

I just wish they built more middle ground trucks. My wife's F150 is an xlt, but has the "whatever number" package that gets you remote start, heated seats and the key pad on the door. These seem to be really rare in super duty's

Speaking of the key pad, I heard they will not be putting it on any 25+ models?

Still liking my 2022. Mine is cattle rancher ordered Lariat that he didn't pick up, that's how I got it.

Leather heated and cooled seats ands steering wheel rear heated seats, the big infotainment system, but no front cameras or sensors...no sunroof they say more room for your cowboy hat that way? Just has back up cameras and sensors.

The heated and cooled seats, and steering wheel are beautiful up here in our winters and summers.

My brother-in-law's GMC Dually Denali has been nothing but issues, lots of warranty work. broken sunroom, his infotainment system, Sensors, and when he first got was missing half the computers due to the chip shortage. He never did end up getting his rear seat heated control computer stuff...so they don't work.

My 22 XLT has everything you just listed except for the leather heated/cooled seats.

I'm liking mine too. :smokin:

When I ordered ours it was actually cheaper to get lariat with zero options, upfitter switches and tailgate step, than it was to option a xlt with similar features to the lariats standard features.

The thing I use the most I didn’t think I would is the power sliding rear window.

I agree if I could get an xl with heated cooled seats and power windows that would be a hot seller.

Looking at the new trucks again, if you get the sport package they look okay but with standard chrome accents they are ugly as sin.

Front cameras, rear cameras, 7 or 8" infotainment screen, power seat, pedals, switches... We got every option you could get on a regular cab XLT except Nav.

Added the good digital dash and LED Fogs afterwards. Its got everything I could want on a truck. Regular cab heats and cools super fast, so heated seats weren't all that necessary. Sunroof ain't all that. I do wish I could have gotten the sliding rear window but it wasn't offered.

The only thing I don't like are the goddamn head restraints. Wish they were the 4 way adjustable so I might try to find a pair out of a 20 that were.

Trailready front full guard bumper on order.

Apparently TR is way proud of their bumpers. They are decent looking but not nice enough to warrant the ass raping with no lube prices. Holy fuck

Gotta pay to play when you have a 450. There were very few that had the looks and functionality I wanted specifically for a 450.

Buckstop is more (they build the TR's.) Warn is more. Throttle Down was a bit cheaper, but not much. The rest mostly look like ass. Ranch hands are fine, but I don't care for the look that much plus no winch mount. Don't necessarily need the winch mount, but nice to have. The prices are what they are.

I can understand it, hell I can even understand the allure of an apartment
if you're the sort with no interesting hobbies
Everyone has hobbies, I believe, because everyone has an innate purpose. Everyone has something they are driving towards, some....destiny, I suppose. And that comes to fruition in natural tendencies and psychological predispositions. Kinda why autism, by and large, is just another bullshit label.

These tendencies are subdued, skewed, maligned, and hindered through houses of the boob tube. Internetz, vidja, and other such time wasters.

Dunno....Lotta squandered talent out there. I seent it.

On our way back from Colorado my usual trip buddy was heading up to Red River NM and sends me this.

This is in his '24 Denali Ultimate Duramax...
Not deleted or anything. 200mi range on a tank...
Vs my '22

I only filled up 3 times at a half tank each, 25 ish gallons, used 4.5 gallons of DEF, gauge is on full still at home. He is using a tank of DEF to a tank of fuel:laughing:
And that $103k truck has a 36 gallon fuel tank 🤦 and a 5 gallon DEF tank where my truck has a 48 gallon fuel and 8 gallon DEF tank.

I take it these are service trucks? Or what else is going on then?

No camping trucks
He's pulling a 45' Cyclone Toy hauler and I'm pulling my TH.

His previous tow pig is '15 LTZ deleted Duramax dually which he says usually gets the same 9.x mpg towing that load.
