As far as I’ve been able to find, there are no good or great prices. Maybe there’ll be some improvement now that the strike is over.I don't think Ford care cares but they do enter your name into the system when you order and every truck that is ordered takes away from the dealers allotment. I think this allotment and the negotiated price effect the timeline for the orders.
They say it doesn't, I don't buy it...
IMO if you negotiated a good/great price with the intent to wait I don't see why you would double up. If you are getting MSRP or market adjustment bullshit then sure spread it around.
A,X etc. plan or a Granger % invoice deal would fall in to good price category I think, not old good price but not MSRP or above. As far as I’ve been able to find, there are no good or great prices. Maybe there’ll be some improvement now that the strike is over.
...I consider that a great price in this market.
It’s been different. The last time I dealt with dealerships buying trucks was 2016. Usually somebody wants to sell something. This time around even some of the salesmen and dealers we’ve used in the past don’t want to call back.A,X etc. plan or a Granger % invoice deal would fall in to good price category I think, not old good price but not MSRP or above.
When I ordered my truck it was a $5k off MSRP deal, then I got $2k cash offfer and it took so long to get the truck the MSRP increased by another $4k getting me a $11k off MSRP deal, I consider that a great price in this market.
They were the best deal by far when I ordered my '22. All the NM dealers had market adjustments or at the very best, were selling at MSRP. I ordered from Granger which saved me about 10k off MSRP, which I thought was a good deal then and IMO just as good a deal as you can expect now.A,X etc. plan or a Granger % invoice deal would fall in to good price category I think, not old good price but not MSRP or above.
Y’all are talking about the dealership in Granger, Iowa or something else? They were the best deal by far when I ordered my '22. Yes, Granger Ford in Granger IA. I believe they are still doing 2% under invoice.Y’all are talking about the dealership in Granger, Iowa or something else?
Absolutely and the dealer that sold me my '18 would not take my X plan order for the '22 to your point. It’s been different. The last time I dealt with dealerships buying trucks was 2016. Granger deal
I did the deal all online with Granger and got a price guarantee too. We flew out to pick it up and turned it into a vacation coming home and going to various touristy shit, so I didn't factor the cost of the flight or hotels into the deal. I got the flight for under $200 one way and could have done the trip home straight through if I was on a budget.Either Granger, Dennis Dillon (on a Ram), or both, required you to do the deal in person, so there was not an option to e sign and have the truck shipped.
For clarity, one (or both) required you to "close" the deal in person. You could order it long distance, but you had to sign, pay and take delivery in person.I did the deal all online with Granger and got a price guarantee too. Could be Granger too then. I never asked to have it shipped, the plan was always to fly out and drive it home. I had to put a 1k deposit down and did just about all the E sign stuff before we picked it up.For clarity, one (or both) required you to "close" the deal in person. Stopped by the local Ford dealer to discuss options.
First sales guy was nice, but didn't understand the importance of gvw. He grabbed the 'fleet' guy, who was wearing overalls and knew exactly what my plight was.
There's absolutely no way to order a DRW with less than 13k gvw. Could derate a 450 to 15k. SRW come less, but no thanks.
Salesman was saying guys are trading in DRW trucks because DOT is citing the drivers. Funny enough, he agreed an older dodge was the best case truck.
Can you swap GVWR decals on the door jamb?Stopped by the local Ford dealer to discuss options.

You can register the truck for less, did that on on the last one by accident.Stopped by the local Ford dealer to discuss options.

13k or 14k?Both the 350 and 450 pickups have a max gvwr of 13k but the 450 can and chassis can be 15k, 16k and 16.5k

You can (I thought) derate it to 10k at build, is that not a option anymore?
Probably right.Think that’s only for f250s I believe.
I assume the 10k is because of dot? Get a srw and run duals on rear lots of drw beds for sale for 1k or so from upfitters around here. Then you have home brew f350 with 10k rating.
Probably right.
I don't guess I understand the need to have the sticker say 10K when in Texas you can register it for whatever you want?
My 22 F450 is 13k. I went for the 450 over 350 for the better turning radius and higher bumper tow weighting13k or 14k?
Skate under "obviously commercial" weights while also being too much of a pussy to move that weight with a SRWWhat are you trying to do?
Selling my 2023 F450 LIMITED #211 150 miles see sticker. Just had linex spray in liner done, AVS window visors front weathertech HP floor liners. $139,900 or BO
