What's new

New Ford Duallys are 6+ months out?

Joined the ugly wheel club after work today. Scored brand new take offs with tires. Looks 100 times better with the aluminum wheels and upsized tires. :smokin:

Fuck yeah you did :stirthepot:
That thing seems perfect for you guys though.

I just found that out myself yesterday. Good to know for future reference.

Same here, first time I learned something on Facebook marketplace  Searched 8x200 and ram wheels came up.....so I hit Google and found that out. I could not find anyone who had actually mounted factory ram wheels on a ford though.

What size are those tires? I was eying 255/80r17s but they're almost twice the price of stock.

What you doin with those stock steelies?:flipoff2:

It's like I ordered it custom for me but didn't have to wait for it. Whoever ordered this truck knew what they were doing, it's an XLT with a bunch of useful added options that totaled almost $15k on the window sticker. Other than it being 5 shades darker gray than my racecar trailer I have zero complaints and absolutely love this truck!

New tires are 255/80R17 Falken Wildpeak AT3's. They must be a factory option because they came on a 2023 F350. This set came off a truck that was lifted and blinged out at a local Ford dealer. Guy I got them from buys all their new take offs and resells them on FB.

How much you want to give me for the stockers? Tires are 3/4 tread Michelin something or others.

I figured thays what they were, pretty much the only option for duallys without dumb spacers besides the 33 and 35x10.50 kendas. Just not sure id want those for a truck just for hauling.

That would be interesting if they were a factory option as it seems 235s and 245s have been in forever.

Even if they were free, the distance kills the deal. Thanks though.

The Michelins that are on the steel wheels are 245's.

This was also a nice bonus that came with the truck.....

DeeZee 42 gallon auxiliary fuel tank/tool box combo that has the tank plumbed into the filler neck with a valve. :smokin:

Sweet truck, I really like the aluminum extra cabs, had 2 for work and they're perfect for anyone who doesn't have people in the back seat all the time. I wish my work truck was an ex instead of a crew cab.

Does it just have a ball valve or a solenoid valve?

I’d love to have them on my 12. Even at 32, in good shape, climbing up a tire to get in the bed to release the pin or hook/unhook safety chains on the gooseneck sucks. It’s an injury waiting to happen, especially in the rain/snow.
That’s why I did away with bedsides on my ‘17.

We always had to many tools in the cab, to make an extra cab work.

favorite work truck is a crew cab with back seat removed and shelf halfway up for dry tools/ security, and a flat bed with underbody boxes. nothing permanent on top the flat deck.

and a 3-4k? lift tommy gate. (i could lift rigs up to tow around or do oil changes)

i loved that truck.

early on before i did some other work to it. like the under body boxes. and i love how low these chev's are to work out of.

42 + 48? That would be awesome

Just a ball valve. The only thing going in the back seat area besides a jacket or cooler is going to be the two dogs (in one of those dog hammocks) when we go racing so the extra cab works well for us. I also like that it's shorter than a crew cab, it feels like a go-cart compared to my F550 service truck.

So after all the bitching I did in this thread about you guys buying post covid trucks I went and bought one myself.:homer: I REALLY hope I was very wrong about what I said earlier in this thread...... :lmao:

I hate working out of a tall rig. Last place I was at, every rig was lifted and on 37's....except my rigs , and it took alot of fighting and bitching to get them to leave it alone:laughing:

They had that truck lifted the day after I quit:homer:

I can only imagine what's in the bed then

It wasnt terrible. Had a packrat, pack tank an cross box. Never knew if I was crushing, building road, or pretending to be a mechanic, so I ran kinda heavy:laughing: mix in fluids, a truck tire and maybe a grader tire and shit was full

Was just so much easier to keep the back seat folded up an the shit that was used everyday in the back instead of digging through the bed. Toss in raingear, extra clothes etc etc and a cclb gets fucking full real quick:laughing:

For a while the had 2 packtanks in the bed of that thing:lmao:

Sounds like some of the oil field companies I see in west Texas. They have some really bad ass looking trucks going down the road that grab your attention but you know doing any real work out of them must suck because the tail gate is eye level when open.

Yup. They wanted a look for sure. And they put together some nice trucks, just not nice to work outta. Everything was a white f350, dark tint, bumpers, lift, wheels, 37" toyo's.....and 1 spare for the entire fucking fleet that was kept at the yard:homer:

Then my bone stock "lowrider":lmao:

I currently own 3 crew cabs and drive another one at work. It's nice and all, but if we didn't have kids, I'd be all over an extra cab. An ex cab long bed is a great do all truck. You can still seat 6 if needed, but don't have extra wheelbase. Heck even a single cab is under rated these days.

My 550 is a crew with a 12 foot bed, plus a 24 foot trailer. It's always funny to get in the wife's F150 that has basically the same layout, but 1/4 of the length.

hope you dont believe in karma.....or we'll, karma doesn't believe in you :flipoff2:

Doesn't seem to matter how big the truck is, it will fill up eventually. My work truck is so big I sometimes can't find what i need or forget what i have. :homer: 12 foot box that's enclosed. It's nice, but also overwhelming. I should probably just go back to operating all day

The thing is they are all post COVID trucks from now on.

The 48 gallon tank is bad ass, having a 42 +3X is still awesome, plenty of fuel to make you piss yourself :smokin:

I had to raise the back of my f350, pulled the 2” blocks and put in 5” blocks. Just to make it level with the big loads on the overload springs. I almost wish i had lowered the front a few inches. My only salvation is the amp type fold down steps and the bed slide in the back. And fuck all the gooseneck trailers anymore, i do everything bumper pull.

In order to keep the wife happy and not make the truck look :rainbow: I ordered a pair of N-Fab cab length steps that came in today. They look decent(ish) and took all of 10 minutes to install on the factory mounts.

Getting the windows tinted is the last item on the list.
Hope you like those steps better than I did. I had them on my last F-2fisty and I didn’t think the hoop was in the right place. It was too far forward. I constantly had to search for the step when getting out. I took them off and replaced them with the factory running boards. That was mo betta.
