What's new

New Ford Duallys are 6+ months out?

My 2017 work truck is just under 23,000 miles. 11,000 hours though.

T880 is at 7,000 miles and 5,000 hours.
im driving my wifes old escalade nowadays. 250k miles and 8000 hrs. i need to look at my f350, just turned 10k on it. i never let shit idle.

Finally arrived at dealer this morning, theyre delivering to my house Thursday! 4 months from order to delivery.

Work truck stays running if it's under -25*, so probably 2-3 months a winter

avg of 66.5mph without idle hours

or

avg of 30.4mph with idle hours

I looked at a 2015 Ram 3500 C&C from Texas, it's total hours and 188k miles avg out to like in 50's mph.... (wishing I did, I thought it's too much $... this was in 2018 or 2019 lol)

just received another notice from Ford... this time, ODB2 needs to be reprogrammed...

I don't have any "problems" but something is afoot...
My Sync4 won't update past this last January, no "coolwalk" android auto. IT shows a update is downloading but when you click on it it's blank and doesn't ever update.
My DPF % is on 0, that is either a bug or a feature, not sure which.
It was working but after arriving in Colorado and checking the screen it was still on 0%, not one active regen going up there.
I enabled Auto regen and it immediately did one in the camp ground.
Drove all the way back left it on Auto and it never got off 0%.
This was the first time actually towing (and heavy) so maybe this is normal?
Gonna make a appointment to get the remote seat heat/cool fixed and bring up all these other possible issues.

The trip was flawless but half way through the return trip the wind was blowing 20 mph out of the direct on my nose, mileage went from 9.7 down to 7.8, DEF usage shot up with 1/2 a tank giving me 500 miles of range.
Again not sure if that is due to high load or something is broken.
The 3.55's are different, and when loads are high it defenitely seems to be harder on it, I just locked out gears to get boost lower and RPM higher, confirmed by cooling temps/fan engagement.
All in all great trip no issues.

Edit: I lied I lost a left rear hubcap somewhere between home and Amarillo. :flipoff:

Somewhere between Hope and Amarillo is one of my all time favorite song lyrics. You almost made it.

So this is a brand new truck, few months old and it needs to go back to the dealer for a half dozen items? Just trying to follow along

Im pretty sure my boss’s 2022 F250 Lariat CCSB went to dealership a lot. A LOT.

I see him coming to work with a loaners for a day to few days in what seems like in every other week to monthly. Sometime he have the loaner for a week or more.

Very good friend has had a loaner truck since February. He still can't get a new engine in his truck that was only 6 months old when it blew.

He said last week the high powered Dallas lawyer gets to contact the dealership and Ford now

Well technically two "items" both are supposed to be OTA update able but aren't...

The rest is just observation compared to my other truck, drivetrain etc. maybe it's broke no idea.

If you haven't been paying attention software is no longer good to go out the box, I'll keep you posted so you don't have to wonder...

That's what I'd be doing, get some $250/hr letter head on their desk.

I guess I'm not following. Software isn't good out of the box? I don't understand. Dumb it down for me
