If posted elsewhere, I apologize. Has the October delivery truck been scheduled for production yet?

Got a message today from my salesman that my truck was scheduled.
I made the comment I hope it is complete...
He said it probably won't have massaging seats, and or some badges.

If it is short stuff I will probably decline it or try and flip it, then order a '23/24
I'm not feeling waiting this long and paying for missing options.

Also in my email is a personal cash offer for $2k off a SuperDuty...
If I can get this truck $79,600 I will probably do that even missing options, but I'm gonna need to see it first :emb:

Since it's been so long can you add the options back to this truck? I'm not a fan of the look of the 23 model year machines.

I would reply back and tell them that their must be a mistake because vehicles made this late in the year are 2023 models. And I'd like to use my $2k cash offer towards the 2023 truck you are delivering to me in a few months....

:flipoff2:

Good luck

Pending this deal I will probably order a '23 anyway....And a '24 when available.
Really its going to be a race to beat interest rate increases.

The only missing option I know of is multi-contour (massaging) seats, and its not confirmed that it will be missing.
And as far as I know you can't add them back because they don't have them.

For me that would be a deal breaker, between lariat being the highest trim you can get in race red exterior paint. Those seats are the only reason to go higher to me.

exactly, there is not a lot of difference IMO from Lariat Ultimate to Platinum.

Somewhat off topic, but where do you guys see the truck market in 6-9 months. I am debating putting in an order for a duramx if I can find a dealer that will still honor the GM family discount. I would get another ford, but with no discounts out there it makes a similar GM truck 5-6k cheaper even with the constant 2k PCOs showing up. I figure if I put in the order and it takes 6 months to get, that give me 6 months to see what the market is doing. If everything is going to shit and there is a glut of used trucks, I can go that route, but if somehow interest rates and fuel prices dont kill the demand i will have a truck with my name on it being built.

Seems with refundable deposits it is a no brainer but im looking for opinions if I should go through the hassle.

This is not going to be a normal recession.

I don't see the supply/demand problem getting resolved over night.
At the same time they are cranking interest rates the .GOV has dumped $1.2 Trillion into infrastructure projects then another $700+ billion in projects.

It's going to be hard to cause a reduction in inflation when everyone has a job to do...

The interest rates will thin the herd for sure.
My best bud is a electrical contractor who does around $5million in sales annually. His zero overhead excellent credit rating has earned him a 7.9% and now 8.9& interest rate on two service vehicle loans.
Those types of rates (and climbing) will separate the men from the boys....

In my opinion, order the truck if you can and re-evaluate at the time off arrival, worst case you are out $500 and best case the market is strong when it arrives and you can flip it and make $1000 or buy it and be in a better position than most (depending on goals).

i had to hit up a old friend to get my Xplan price.
Based on what i just read, i might qualify for the xplan. Apparently if you are contracted to a company who is on the xplan list you qualify which is my case. It would be nice if i could figure out the xplan price on my own, but looks like i will be calling a couple dealers after work and see what they say.

There is a way to figure x plan price. It is based off MSRP, I believe. A google search will probably tell you how to figure it.
