What's new

New Bronco reports

For sure but only if your honest intention is to actually wheel it enough to make the justification. They drive really nice and a lot nicer then a jeep.... but nowhere near tahoe escalade nice and you could pick up one of those for similar money if its just going to be a grocery getter.

Another thing to keep in mind is they seem to get below average gas Milage for a vehicle this size and have a small tank.
I'm in my tundra now with a thirsty v8 so anything will benefit me at the pump. I have my sami set up for wheeling, gets at it maybe 3/4 times a year but all out of state trips. Only off pavement for this would be camping/fishing and tooling around the farm.

There is a park in Indiana I'd be at more if I had a trail rig I could drive to for a day and head back.

It's this or another toyota (4runner or land cruiser), but I've never had a convertible and that's the main motivation. Looked at gladiators only cause of the 15% off msrp they have now but I find them goofy looking and odd inside 🤷

anybody have anything to say about road noise/phone calls? Most of my work is done while driving... the 13 year old me really dogged these for a while. Over 40 me wants to have fun with my kids in one.
I have a soft top and don't have issues with talking or doing voice texting with the top up.
With it folded back and windows up you can still talk and use text, just need to annuciate more.
The hood protector thing with the little lip from Ford performance cut down on soft top wind noise as well.

Is this legit? 175k mile coverage on everything seems not right, anyone have experience?

My boss and his father each have one. They chose to drive the broncos vs a suburban, ford power strokes and a couple sedans. I’ve gotten to drive them and Im seriously thinking about getting one for my fiance. She has a Jetta but we have two kids one of which is 6 months old. My daughter which is almost 10 loves the bronco. You only live once, buy one and live life.

I’m planning on working out of mine. I drive about 30k/year.

I love driving my Bronco, but with that kind of mileage it seems like you're paying a pretty hefty premium to impress no one. Tires alone is enough to make me consider a true work vehicle.

I feel like my 2 door is always out of gas. In reality it gets a pretty normal 300 miles per tank. Higher with freeway miles.

It’s a want, more than a need but I do want something more eye catching since I’ll have my business logos on it.

I just want one for some reason. I was super against them when they came out too lol. I burn through all consumables anyway and....

some of this. It's a good conversation starter if anyone you meet for work is into trucks. Tough for construction in Chicago - too much truck you look like an ass and a practical sedan - well that just doesn't happen and I have no desire to be that close to the ground. If that 175k warranty is a thing that may seal the deal

Ford's extended warranties are generally pretty good for the customer, but complete bullshit for the dealer having to fuck with them.

Like pretty much every extended warranty then.

Nah, Mopar's is easy. Pricing and claims are the same as if it was covered by the normal 3/36 warranty. Ford is cheap and want to haggle about prices like a cheap 3rd party warranty "as seen on TV" bullshit.

This is an auto with base Talladega gears. I’ve seen the range at 502 miles after a fill up in the summer . Winter is usually around 475.

I reset the mpg reading last fall when I took off the 285’s and put on the stock base wheels and tires for winter. 285 suck the mpg readout down to 22, but I didn’t’t recalibrate the speedometer. I figure they cost me about a mpg or so.

Seems completely reasonable, must be missing something lol
The dealer will want way more for that coverage. That looks like the Flood Ford site where I bought our extended. Granger also offers extended warrenties online due $50 over cost. When I bought ours I took that same print out in and asked if they would match. They couldn't.

My 4cyl manual has never seen over 14.9 bone stock. Gets 12.9 now
You know you can modulate the throttle and it doesn't just go from idle to floor right?

Lifetime average hand calculated of 20.3mpg with our manual badlands. The trip to Moab and grand canyon actually knocked it down from over 21, but its slowly climbing.

Sounds like you cummins swapped it. I even tried on highway trips and coulnt break 20 over 100 miles. Eco mode does help significantly though

Granger is selling at cost for Broncos this month.

Nope, but the vast majority of its driving is done on two lane farm roads around 60mph. Highway over 75mph and it falls off fast with the 4.70's and 33's.

Speed makes a huge difference in MPG on aerodynamically brick-shaped vehicles.

My Jeep can get 16 at 60 but does get 12 at 80

2big bronco - are you haulin' ass in eco mode?

I have a 4 door V6 on 37's and love sport mode.
I get excited when I see 15 mpg. That was once. On a road trip to Moab.
Usually around 13ish combined.
My record is 16g in 8 miles in the snow.

wasn't everyone crappin on jeeps for the poor mileage awhile back?

but seriously I was thinking the eco boost might get better mileage. yeah I get it still a brick.

does that engine have the cam phaser problems? or is it different than the truck engine?

It takes me almost a full tank to fill up at freshpond, wheel straight through the con, and fill up in tahoe.
